Maybe they figure they'll give the Big 12 enough rope to hang themselves with, let them have this concession, and then pick them apart when everyone goes to 16.Originally posted by New Mexican Disaster View PostI can't believe it either. What is the point of having 14 team conferences then or 12. Just get rid of the dead weight and consolidate.
We're screwed. I'm so tired of this. Will donate kidney for B12 membership.

Would be funny if the PAC-12 kicked out Utah and Colorado and then went with a round robin schedule with a PAC-10 championship game.Originally posted by New Mexican Disaster View PostI can't believe it either. Well, I don't see why the SEC needs Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Arkansas or Missouri. I'm fine with them being in the conference, but we don't need them and they don't bring any extra money into the conference.Originally posted by Paperback Writer View PostWould be funny if the PAC-12 kicked out Utah and Colorado and then went with a round robin schedule with a PAC-10 championship game.

Miss. St. yes, Vandy perhaps if you don't care at all about academics. But Missouri seems like a keeper to me. Missouri is a big state with only one major program.Originally posted by New Mexican Disaster View PostWell, I don't see why the SEC needs Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Arkansas or Missouri. But the Pac 10 should drop Washington State and Utah, not Colorado and Utah.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

This is kind of dumb talk if you really think about it.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Yeah, this last year could have been a rematch of OU vs OSU on neutral field after the sooner beat the snot out of the pokes on their home court the week before. I am sure Stoops would have loved that.Originally posted by Omaha 680 View PostMy guess is the championship game being a rematch of a game played the previous week will be a fairly regular occurrence. This year the b12 sked was "backloaded" to hep overcome the lack of a CCG. If the ncaa allows a round robin leading to a CCG I suspect they will "front load" the sked so you won't likey have rematches on consecutive weeks.Originally posted by Omaha 680 View PostMy guess is the championship game being a rematch of a game played the previous week will be a fairly regular occurrence. Yeah, and the Big 10 did the same but then the Big 12 added BYU and Nebraska.Originally posted by Paperback Writer View PostWould be funny if the PAC-12 kicked out Utah and Colorado and then went with a round robin schedule with a PAC-10 championship game."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.

Bedlam is not moving. TCU/Baylor is probably not moving. I don't know how realistic it is to frontload the schedule to avoid rematches.Originally posted by creekster View PostThis year the b12 sked was "backloaded" to hep overcome the lack of a CCG.
