Now New Mexico fans are claiming they belong in the B12.
Of course, it comes from the MWC Board, so what can you expect.UNM would thrive in the B12, unfortunately they just wont get the invite. I can tell you if the B12 had UNM instead of KSU they would be in a much better position of strength. Manhattan is a city of roughly 45k and that when college is in session. UNM has a superior basketball atmosphere, much bigger media market, and bring in around 30k to football games with an absolutely terrible record. In the B12 with teams like Texas, OU, and Okla St visiting they would no doubt recruit better and bring in 45k plus. Problem is KState was there first and they wont be kicked out. Some universities just win the lottery while some have to linger on the outside.Comment
