No kidding. What would a similarly honest statement from Holmoe do for things? I think some of the frustration is all of the guesses that have gone on over what's happening. Maybe he is being honest--nothing's happened?
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

Well, if BYU was firmly convinced that Indy/WCC was the status quo they wanted to maintain indefinitely, I could see them issuing a similarly detailed statement, but since they are keeping their options open I believe they have a little more delicate balancing act to maintain with present and future partners.

I think it's notable that BYU was listed first by this expert commentator. It had nothing to do with alphabetical order.

            • DeLoss Dodds wants the press to pay attention to him, speaks for the entire conference

              http://www.statesman.com/blogs/conte...pour_wate.html

Of course, any comments from any school or conference officials about anything concerning potential realignment stir everyone up. I should add that I tried to reach new Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby for his opinions but he was not available. I know everyone thinks Dodds is the de facto commissioner — and even Bowlsby referred to Texas as the “800-pound gorilla” a week ago — but I read it as Dodds has the confidence and bravado to speak on any issues that might affect his school or conference, and he has that right.

I didn't see anywhere in the article where Chip even aludes to hurt feelings. I think that's a stretch, bro.

Why would you drive all the way to Dayton, Ohio? Don't you have a family member who gets you a buddy pass on the airlines?

Who could possibly miss the scenic I-70 stretch from Denver to Dayton? A 35,000 foot view simply doesn't do it justice.

Well, it does go through God's country - a section of I-70 between Columbia, MO and St. Louis. Other than that, it's a crappy drive.
