Didn't someone post earlier that Neinas said WVU notified the BE in July that it was leaving? That predates Syracuse, Pitt and TCU.

Nope, it was just ambiguously worded...

Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you'll have to ram them down people's throats.

Their argument could be that with Pitt and Syracuse leaving, the Big East will not be what it is now. So they should be given the freedom to find a new home for themselves. That new home, the Big 12, is accepting new members now. But may not be in 27 months.

So what will the Big East do to remedy the situation in 27 months if Pitt and Syracuse are gone, and now WVU no longer has an option of the Big 12 and a better home?

I don't think it is too difficult of an argument to make.

However, those two schools are abiding by the law of their contract. Waiting the 27 months before they join their new conference.. This 2 year window should give BE enough time to move on stabilizing their conference. WVU did not give them enough time to respond..

          Should get interesting..

Rodents Of Unusual Size? I don't think they exist...

I believe when SU types on his trusty Fisher Price keyboard, I hear in my head: I do not think it means what you think it means.

I agree with this. Pitt and Syracuse are abiding by the 27 month requirement so why is WVU so special? Seems like the evidence is against WVU.

So I'm guessing that WVU is using the "me too" argument given TCU didn't have to wait the 27 months. Of course, TCU was never officially in the Big East conference.
I'm analogizing to a personal service contract. It's just not the type of thing judges like to issue affirmative injunctions for. Why isn't money an adequate remedy?

Money always works for me. The question is does WVU have enough.

Okay, well, what will happen (in my judgment) is the judge will say, WV, you go on to the big 12 conference, and we'll adjudicate this. We don't need to be in any hurry about it because the parties are going about their business. And the remedy, if any, will be money.

It seems to me these teams can walk off to the Big 12 conference anytime they want. They just may have to pay damages.

I don't know what the defenses are. The teams may have some legitmate gripes other than buyer's remorse. I'm not crazy about 3D's argument becuse it's the breaches of contract that have bade the Big East not the same conference.

Sounds like WVU is saying "well, you let TCU go early!". And, "hey, everybody else wants to leave too, therefore we deserve to be let out early!".

                              That's about all I got.
