Ahhhh.. Poor little SU... Your pity-party over your stance on BYU was never offered and consistently chiming in with your arrogant shit has made you lose friends and has had others attack you!!! HOW DARE THEY!!!!

OB'er:
Chip what are you hearing on Mizzou?
Are they definitely leaving and when will they announce?
Chip Brown:
I wonder if MU will settle for much less if WVU can't leave the Big East for 27 months. Most likely not given that the Big 12 would be losing money by dropping below 10 teams.I'm hearing Mizzou is still gone. It should happen Monday because Mizzou chancellor Brady Deaton leaves the country on a business trip on Tuesday.
It's taken a while to figure out departure details. MU is still awaiting the exit fee number (The max would be $28 million, but MU will settle for much less)."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.

Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you'll have to ram them down people's throats.

Most likely that the Big East is no longer the same entity, that the BOD of the Big East failed to act in its best interests, etc.Originally posted by UtahJazzFan88 View PostI don't get it, how can they file a lawsuit against a contract that THEY agreed to? At least from what I know of.

It's called a dec action. I'm sure you'll see WV in the B12 next season. I'm sure of it.Originally posted by UtahJazzFan88 View PostI don't get it, how can they file a lawsuit against a contract that THEY agreed to? At least from what I know of.

They do realize they are part of the reason it has failed.. They left. I'd find a hard time seeing any validity in this,, I am not lawyer, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night..Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostMost likely that the Big East is no longer the same entity, that the BOD of the Big East failed to act in its best interests, etc.

Why not? Are the conference's bylaws not worth the paper they are written on?Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostThis is only a money problem. No judge will enjoin any school to stay in any given conference.
So I'm guessing that WVU is using the "me too" argument given TCU didn't have to wait the 27 months. Of course, TCU was never officially in the Big East conference."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.

This is about money and timing of potential penalties. Filing suit delays payment while they get to play in the Big 12 and cash Big 12 checks.Originally posted by dabrockster View PostThey do realize they are part of the reason it has failed.. They left. I'm sure it makes a difference that they weren't to first to leave.Originally posted by dabrockster View PostThey do realize they are part of the reason it has failed.. They left. Their argument could be that with Pitt and Syracuse leaving, the Big East will not be what it is now. So they should be given the freedom to find a new home for themselves. That new home, the Big 12, is accepting new members now. But may not be in 27 months.
So what will the Big East do to remedy the situation in 27 months if Pitt and Syracuse are gone, and now WVU no longer has an option of the Big 12 and a better home?
I don't think it is too difficult of an argument to make.
