It tells me that the kid might remove himself from mormonism but mormonism still clutches the kid. He might have left it but his perpetual need to be persecuted convinces me it did not leave him alone!Originally posted by Flystripper View Postthere are tons of nonbelievers here... some of them are much beloved in this community and not because they pull punches when it comes to religion or the church. I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.

from what I understand, ESPN did the Big XII a favor by not reducing their TV Money when they lost Colorado and Nebraska. I can't imagine that ESPN will allow the Big XII to renegotiate their deal if they decide to go to 12, 14 or 16.
The SEC has a clause in their TV Deal contract that if they add schools they add more TV money, the Big XII does not.
It makes financial sense that the Big XII will remain at 10 schools, until their TV Deal is up.

Such a cliché response: addresses the wrong question; creates a new reality for himself; makes up shit. It can go nowhere but south from here so I'm going to hit the ignore button and spare the board from this petty nonsense.Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostIt probably was before your time. Posters who remember back to the late seventies/early eighties will recognize "Billy Carter" as a cliche (yes, even when Viking picks up a rock it's a boring cliche) derived from Jimmy Carter's alchoholic brother. However, Viking is so muddled and immature (though he's old enough in years that "Billy Carter" resonates with him) he's an exmo who still derives an outsized share of his personal identity from BYU, and thinks that anyone who left the LDS church, criticizes it (in a Socratic way), and takes a drink every now and then must be an alcoholic. He also appears to believe that a person's financial net worth is the whole measure of his character and success even in the material world. By that measure, yes, I am not fit to untie the thong of my brother's sandals (his net worth is nine figures). So is Viking, I suspect, though he tries hard to make us believe he's a Very Important Person, dropping names (even my brother's, at me!) and alleging inside soures everywhere that turn out to be a figment of his imagination.

Yeah, interesting.Originally posted by splitbamboo View PostDid I miss something? The release omits Missouri from the conference. Has this been announced? I thought it was just speculation and a retracted SEC release to this point...
Beginning with the 2012-13 season it is expected that the Big 12 Conference will be comprised of 10 Universities – Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas, Texas Tech and West Virginia.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Yes, Longhorn nation is almost complete but forget Louisville. We need Arkansas for the other ear...Originally posted by Goatnapper'96 View PostI think BYU will be the 12th member. I think it will coincide with Notre Dame moving all sports but football in the Big 12. I think BYU hoops will play in the WCC for 2-3 years before ND joins the Big 12 for football and BYU brings it other sports into the Big 12. The Big 12 will then add Boise State. This give BSU a few years to get its academic house in order.
So Louisville moves when Mizzou bolts to get it back to 11 and BYU moves when ND moves all sports except football.

I haven't read Athiest's posts. I wish he'd find a more subtle way of identifying his outlook than "Atheistcoug". I wonder what he ever did to PortlandUte that would make PU be so cruel to someone who may be somewhat young. But I can only speak for myself. And since you mentioned it, I'm never the aggressor or initiator regarding personal stuff. I think it's chickenshit, and losers do it; what could be more demonstrative of someone's loser status? You really do not get this place, do you?Originally posted by atheistcougar View PostOh, and I can't believe a vocal atheist is not readily accepted by a group of BYU and/or Ute fans no matter how unconventional some here are. Shocked, I tell you, shocked! *shrug*
There are plenty of vocal athiests here.
They just aren't dickbags.
