    (3) Sell $55 tickets to the TCU game for $60 each (plus other shipping/handling fees)? Also, there is apparently a $5 "ticket fee" added to each Hawaii game ticket also.

    (4) Assume that BYU fans won't love money too and start looking for options for buying their tickets elsewhere like directly them from the home team for the road games?

Now if BYU is getting all the money it needs as an independent from its fat ESPN contract then why is BYU adding all these additional fees and making folks buy tickets they don't want? It seems to me that BYU athletics loves money.

Yep and the horshit that "we" aren't like other schools is just that, horseshit. I don't mind so much they do it, just that they act like they don't.

No fair editing, here I thought a prostitute had lost control of her bowels.

      • Steve Spurrier on the best conference...

South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier wasn't so blunt: “I'm often asked who has the best conference. My answer is that's up for debate, but I know who has the biggest stadiums and the most fans, because those are facts.
Hmm... Doesn't Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State have the biggest stadiums?

SEC prepares to welcome their new brother...

Alabama and Auburn fans are prepared to welcome the Aggies. They suggest, however, that the newcomers be prepared to take a licking.

“What do brothers do? They beat the hell out of each other,” Rogers said. “But if an outsider approaches, they gang up on him. That's the mentality here. It's family-slash-religion.”

        • That last quote is accurate. SEC teams stick together against outsiders. Which is way more than :big12: can say.

It still seams like Arkansas is still not part of the family-slash-religion in the SEC.

You've got a point about Michigan (1), Ohio St. (4), and Penn St. (2) but the SEC has Tennessee (3) and Alabama (5). It's close, but the SEC had greater stadium capacity and probably fills it better than the Big Ten. Just going off of stadium capacity, here's what I calculate:

Now Spurrier didn't say the biggest stadiums on average, did he?

Once Texas is in the Big Ten the SEC is toast anyways.

                      • SEC Planning for 13 teams in 2012

I just spoke with Georgia athletics director Greg McGarity about the addition of Texas A&M, and the logistical planning that will have to be done for 2012 with the addition of a 13th team.

While the presidents make the big decisions - i.e., whether to expand - the A.D.s are then entrusted with implementing it. McGarity expects meetings to be held in the next couple weeks to discuss scheduling models.

                        A few quick hits:

                        - Texas A&M is the only anticipated addition for 2012, and scheduling logisitcs involve just that.

"Yes. Right now that's the direction we've heard, is that we're moving along with 13 and basically that's where we are right now," McGarity said.
Missouri was never a possibility for 2012 anyway, right?

That is correct. They would have had to notify the Big 12 before September 1st like aTm did. The way I see it, the Big 12 would be foolish not to add a 10th team ASAP, that way they have a year to worry about what to do if (and that's a big IF) Mizzou heads to the SEC.
