Monty's claims are actually kind of funny. Not only that Nebraska wants back in, but they want back in as OU leaves. Nebraska gets more money, more prestige, and more stability where they are. All they're missing is their old rivalry with their buddy OU . . .

My take on what occurred with Big 12 expansion is that Boren and OU were committed to the Big 12 and understood expansion was necessary for long-term success. Only to discover that UT is not committed long-term to the Big 12. The Longhorns are out as soon as the grant of rights expire. So it will be UT to the B1G probably with Kansas. OU and Okie St. will join the SEC. Will BYU want to join a conference with the Big 12 leftovers?
To respond to Uncle Ted's AAU question at risk of
Since Texas was instrumental in getting Nebraska kicked out of the AAU, maybe they will help Nebraska get back in once they join the B1G. The reality is though, once a school is out of the AAU, they are out. I've read that the process to kick out Nebraska was so acrimonious that schools like Iowa St., Kansas, Missouri, and Oregon can feel secure that they won't be next.“Not the victory but the action. I wonder how he feels about Mid-American Conference expansion when OU and UT leave the Big 12."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.

Why would the SEC want okie state? I can see them taking Oklahoma, but OSU gives them nothing. They don't seem like a conference that wants two football programs from podunk Oklahoma. I'd think they'd go after FSU or Clemson before OSU.

FSU already turned down the SEC back when Arkansas joined; South Carolina was then invited. I doubt Clemson would leave the ACC. Maybe West Virginia will try to get invited to the SEC but OU is really the team the SEC wants and would be willing to take Okie St. in order to make that happen.Originally posted by Moliere View PostYes“Not the victory but the action.
