IMO, BYU football's future depends on two things: 1. performing well in the first five years in the B12, and 2. navigating the cultural/political minefield. Colorado makes the latter more difficult.
Colorado couldn't be any worse than dealing with some of the a-holes around here.

Seriously, if anything the recent few years have illustrated that the handwringing by some BYU fans over our public perception is way overblown. If BYU has strong fan support and athletic success, everything is fine.

Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Just a happy group of fans in a conference with a stable future and a secure media contract.

Yes, but only because you provided the prompt. I wish you hadn't.

What does that have to do with the Pac. And the Pac is stable.

This is the Big 12 thread! Try to pay more attention.

And "stable" is the last word I would use to describe the Pac right now. Haha.

A lot of people use that word when misrepresenting reality.

You seem confused today. This is the thread where we have talked about potentially moving to the Big 12 over the years. You know, the one where you mocked us over and over again and insisted it would NEVER happen. And then it happened.

Not something I need to hear echoing.

If we were dealing with reasonable economic actors, I'd totally agree. This is not aimed at you, but I'm not sure the faculty and administration at large universities only look at dollars and cents (see, e.g. Utah's obsession with Pac-10 academic prowess).

How is that P12 academic snobbery working out these days? You think the networks care about "cultural cohesion" when they put a value on the product?

Yeah, that snobbery worked out great when they had the LA market in the house.

Good heavens, the B12 has operated just fine with Baylor in the conference. Religious people watch a lot of sports, likely more sports than woke people.

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."
