The interesting think is listening to him articulate his reaction. In his mind, Utah is now in the same category as USC, UCLA, Washington, etc. He had us down a notch before that. You have to think that is the reaction across the board. That reaction can't help but sway some of them. If I were a recruit right now I would much prefer to be on a team that is going places.

Good point, as many recruits are already smart enough to recognize Utah is just as good as Arizona, Washington, Oregon St, etc.

Wasn't Coach Whit already telling them that Utah was Pac-10 bound? I'm starting to wonder about that rumor now.

How big will the recruiting boost be? According to Scout, the lowest rated Pac-10 team in the 2010 rankings was Oregon State at 67. All of the other teams in the Pac-10 including Wazoo were ranked in the top 40.

Obviously with Rivals Cella will push hard for every kid that gets that coveted Utah offer to be a 5 star, especially since they are getting Pac-10 offers! But do you expect a top 25 class year in and year out? Top 30? Top 40?

Right now over the last 5 years Utahs average is around 60.

Utah is screwed in recruiting. We have no chance in the PAC-12. I'm expecting our recruiting to drop significantly with this awful decision that we have made, unless of course the powerful Tom Cella can convince rivals to up the stars of our recruits. Utah will be lucky to win 1-2 games per year with our new recruiting after this move.

Kyle Whittingham just said on Kall 700 they had 40 to 50 recruits call the coaching staff yesterday. Expressing interest and saying they want to come and see what we have to offer. WOW!!! Recruiting is going to be the biggest impact with this move.

Just like when he said they beat BYU head to head for 9 out of 10 recruits, when that was not even close to being true. Or when he said they had the best quarterback depth in the country and he had Tommy Grady as the number 2 qb on the depth chart, or how about 7 all-mountain west receivers?
