The BCS will still be around in some form in 2012, if they change the needed criteria midway through the game that seems to me like when a lawsuit or congressional inquiry would have some teeth.

Your POV says that given the choice between Texas and Cal, the Rose Bowl would've taken the 'Horns. That's hilarious. But take Utah out of the equation, either as a Pac-10 member or a non-entity in BCS Bowl consideration, the Pac-10 gets two teams in a BCS game in 2004.

Interesting -- I think that's OK to leave Boise out, especially until the dust clears from the implosion of the Big 12.

Funny that ESPN basically said on SportsCenter this AM something like "Boise is expected to join the MWC today in the first step toward conference realignment." Sounded like a done deal.

I think it was a done deal (as much of a done deal as could be without actually being a done deal.. i confused myslef) before all the Pac Big rumors.

My guess is that Boyzee will be invited by july 1st.

I'm glad to know the MWC is not brain dead. We may have to see if Kansas, K-State, CU, and Nebraska have any objection to Boise.

Personally, I don't think we need or want Boise. I'm sure Boise is a one coach phenomenon, and its academics are worse than of 0 account.

I've never understood a scenario under which we should want Boise. Unless you're 16 and your time horizon is six years and all you care about in life is football.
