I feel like it is important to just pause for a moment and reflect on the absolute cluster that SDSU has put itself in.
I don’t mean to encourage excessive schadenfreude, but may I suggest that you simply bow your head with a silent prayer of gratitude in your heart.τὸν ἥλιον ἀνατέλλοντα πλείονες ἢ δυόμενον προσκυνοῦσιν

Sheesh, the sheer clumsiness and stupidity of the whole episode is breathtaking. Like watching a train wreck in slow motion.Originally posted by All-American View PostI feel like it is important to just pause for a moment and reflect on the absolute cluster that SDSU has put itself in.

I laugh every time SU or Applejack make fun of this thread's popularity. This realignment is stuff is fascinating."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

Paul Finebaum predicts Pac-12 will collapse by 2026
Towards the end of the interview, McElroy asked Finebaum flat-out if the Pac-12 will still be around by 2026. The SEC Network host’s answer:
“I don’t believe so. I don’t know how it can, Greg,” Finebaum declared, giving a harsh review of the conference’s recent leadership. “Because it’s — the situation is so fragile right now. The leadership is better than it was. It’s still not very good. And, you know, I think you give the new commissioner, George Kliavkoff, a pass because maybe a year, a year and a half ago, his predecessor literally ran this thing into the ground. But he’s had enough time and I think, so far, you have to give him a failing grade.”
Finebaum went on to say the bigger conferences may not even want to expand but may be forced to go ahead and stake their claim with the Pac-12 conference schools since they could be available.
“And ultimately, as much as big conferences don’t really want to expand at the moment, I think they’ll be forced to take the cream of the crop out there, whether it’s the Big Ten going after the northwest schools, whether it’s Colorado or Arizona or somebody else just deciding to go to the Big 12 — I do not believe the Pac-12 can exist.”
Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

By 2026? Haha. Nobody can predict anything three years ahead. What a loser. When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.

SDSU is reaping what it has sowed. The San Diego Union Tribune has a pretty good summary of the different letters that have gone back and forth:
https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com...n-distribution
The first letter the Aztecs sent contains the wording:
The comments section on that article is pretty funny. People repeating the mantra "intending to resign is not the same as resigning". Now the lawyers are getting involved and will haggle over the whether the phrase "formally notice that San Diego State University intends to resign" was an actual resignation or not.formally notice that San Diego State University intends to resign
No matter the outcome, the entertainment value is great.
