It is a big deal. It would suck for BYU and its fans if Utah got invited and BYU was left behind in the MWC. That being said, Utah is NOT being invited to the Pac 10 on June 11. They may join the PAC 10 some day but that day is not June 11 and I don't think that it will be announced this year.Last edited by Flystripper; 04-01-2010, 02:08 PM.Dyslexics are teople poo...

Utah may go to the PAC-1. I then see them becoming a middle of the conference team, with the chance of going to the Rose Bowl about as often as ASU, WSU, etc. Meanwhile, BYU should continue to field excellent teams that beat the PAC-10 teams with regularity. As long as Bronco is the coach, BYU will be at the forefront of the MWC with yearly opportunities to bust the BCS. TCU will be our biggest nemesis, and perhaps BSU if they replace Utah. And I agree that BYU will have every motivation to take it to the Utes every year.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostI like to think I'm not the only BYU fan who isn't really threatened by the prospect of Utah going to the Pac-11ish, even assuming BYU gets left in the MWC. In fact, such an outcome gives BYU a Jordan-has-the-flu situation every year in the Holy War. If BYU wins, they beat a mighty BCS team. If they lose, well, they were supposed to lose, as they were playing a might BCS team. Win-win for BYU. Lose-lose for Utah. Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.

The Church teaches that patience and long-suffering are virtues. But hey, I'm happy. I've seen every one of BYU's 43 victories over the past four years. I've seen them beat the Utes 3 of the last 4 years. I've seen them win a National Championship. I've seen them expand a stadium from 30,000 to 65,000 and fill it. I've seen them build state of the art facilities. I've seen top ranked recruits decide BYU is where they'd rather play over prestigious programs. I've seen what Bronco has done and I am certain the BCS busting will come soon. Faith and Hope are also virtues.Originally posted by il Padrino Ute View PostHow's that BCS busting going so far?

In retrospect, I have to agree with you about BYU's chances of busting the BSC increasing should Utah go to the PAC-10. That would be one less team to compete against for the bone thrown to the little guys."Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." - Winston Churchill

Come to think of it, Utah's slobbering to join with the libs of Cal, Stanford and the like may make Utah a Marie couche-toi la. At least CU is playing hard to get.Originally posted by John McClain View PostIn French, an easy woman is called a "Marie couche-toi la" which roughly translates to "Mary lay down".

I have no problem admitting that. No problem at all.Originally posted by John McClain View PostCome to think of it, Utah's slobbering to join with the libs of Cal, Stanford and the like may make Utah a Marie couche-toi la. At least CU is playing hard to get.

You can get home doing the same thing that got you to that motel in the first place. Just look for counterflow traffic.Originally posted by il Padrino Ute View PostI have no problem admitting that. No problem at all.

There were only 2 sisters. But they have brothers named Ammon, Nephi and Dirk."Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." - Winston Churchill
