I don't really care what race he is, but I thought the modern standard was that any portion of black in parents made one black i.e. Jason Kidd, Deron Williams, Blake Griffin. And yes, I am just kidding. His race is irrelevant.

This from when he was a jr:
Houk won the WR MVP. A big target at 6'3 190, Houk had an 8'5 broad jump, ran a 4.51 shuttle, made a number of nice catches and put together tight routes.
An elite broad jump is close to 10 feet for an NFL Wr.

This might explain why most of his pics in this thread are basketball pics, not football pics.

        • I think the angle almost everyone is overlooking is the fact that both Landon Jaussi and BJ Peterson are graduating. Who better to inherit the mantle of practice squad kid the superfans at TBS won't stop overhyping than a non-LDS, non-white kid whose only scholly offer was from directional Washington? You may be looking at the first two-time MVP of the Matt Smith All-Stars by the time this kid is done.

Then again, I made fun of BYU for beating out Sacramento State for Cody Hoffman.

          • I bet all the BYU coaches did was read his measurables on ESPN.com

He comes from a good family. His older brother played at St. Mary's before his mission and then walked on at BYU.

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

Wow, that's a great get for BYU. I had heard this kid wasn't feeling enough love from the BYU staff only a few months back, but either they got that sorted out quickly or the story was BS to begin with. BSU, Arkansas, Oregon State, and Utah -- 3 of the 4 are really solid offers.

                      • Biegel and Hinds are both on Lemming's top 100 overall prospects. Would sure be great to get those guys.

I think BYU has a very good shot at both of them. In fact I would say a 1 in 3 shot at both.

                          • I'd love to see another Biegel out there playing for the Y. Hopefully he has his dad's attitude.

                            • Butch Pauu is another very good LB'er out of California.

He's a "silent verbal" to BYU coaches already.
