a 22 year old freshman. We're never going to hear the end of that one.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Because Fangupo is walking on and isn't taking up a scholarship.Originally posted by Jacob View PostWhy aren't we including Fangupo as a member of this class as a transfer with those JC transfers? Was it ever determined whether he has 1 or 2 years of eligibility? Kaveinga is probably rightly considered a transfer with last year's class.

Look like we got a late commit who will pay his own way in the fall and get a scholarship in January.
http://byu.scout.com/2/1046265.htmlTerenn Houk from Tacoma, Washington committed to accept a spot on BYU's team this coming fall. Due to a scholarship shortage, Houk will obtain his promised scholarship this coming January. TBS confirmed with his mother earlier today that he had committed to coaches this morning
Houk is a 6-5, 205 wide receiver prospect from Enumclaw high school just outside of Tacoma, Washington. Coaches liken him and his abilities to Cody Hoffman who like Houk flew under the recruiting radar.
"He called both coaches Mendenhall and Howell and accepted the offer!," expressed his mother via text. "We are very excited and happy for this new chapter"
TBS will have more on Houk and his commitment when he becomes available. So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Hey, that's not what I was hoping for. I need some "this kid is under-the-radar but has big upside" type hype to make me understand why we offered him a scholarship.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostThat takes some skill.
I wonder if he will have to cut his hair:

I think BYU could go offer an underrated kid every year for the next 10 in search of the next Cody Hoffman and the probability indicates BYU will end up with one Cody Hoffman. Saying that, BYU will still end up ahead. I think Hoffman is going to be one heck of a player.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostHey, that's not what I was hoping for. I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.

A few days ago he was he was 6-4, 190, a day later he's at 6-5, 205, by the time he takes the field for BYU he'll be a monster!
But seriously if he's a good athlete and can catch a ball, he should be able to make it at WR with that size and good coaching.
He could have been stuck in a running offense in HS and rarely had a ball thrown at him...who knows? At my high school, I could count the number of pass plays a game on one hand. He's the only WR we signed this year, and as he'll be redshirting, he'll have an opportunity to play right when we'd need him.
6-4 or 5 and blaick? What's not to like? Looks like we got a basketball player to play WR. (All the great WR wish they were ballers) Hopefully he's got some work ethic.
