Everyone is ignoring me. But he's a long time NFL head coach. Still young. Just a year ago he was hot enough for Paul Allen to hand pick him to succeed Mike Holmgren. It was no panic hire. He was brought in a year early and put on Holmegren's staff, when Holmgren was a lame duck. He had some good success at Atlanta. His NFL record looks just like Pete's, it's actually uncanny, except that in Atlanta he inherited a bad team, not a Super Bowl champion. He's a Pac 10 guy, and would have been Washington's choice over Sarkisian had he not been in line to succed Holmgren. He hardly got a chance with the Seahawks, which Holmgren left in a mess.

I agree with you for the most part also. It would be a PC for Mora trade. I'm not sure SC would want replace their legend with a failed coach that cost SC their legend. Poorly written sentence, but I think you get what I'm saying. Also, I think SC would be silly to only look at NFL guys with SC ties. They're going to look at college coaches with no SC ties, so it would make sense for them to do the same from the NFL.

Jack Del Rio just said he is staying at Jacksonville. Mariucci is next. If he says no where does USC go? Do they go to college coaches?

There are unconfirmed reports that Kiffin is bringing Monte Kiffin and Ed Orgeron with him from Tennessee.

He assembled a fantastic coaching staff in Knoxville. If he assembles a similarly-impressive cast, USC won't miss a beat.
