Jax sez: No thanks, RIP City.

In the past couple of months, Jax has spoken with the Knicks, Magic, Bobcats, and now the Blazers. While it has been reported that the Knicks never "offered" him the job, Jax has definitely turned all the others down and my guess is that the Knicks situation was because he made it clear that he would not accept with their current roster. Overall, that is a LOT of activity for a guy that wants to stay retired.

In actuality, Phillip is circling Mike Brown's rotting carcass. He knows which job he wants and my guess is that he must be in the know about the Dwight Howard situation. If the Lakers land Dwight (and even if they don't), do NOT be surprised to see press conference to announce that Mike Brown is now an assistant coach.

I understand your point, but that is how he operates. He was enjoying retirement the last two times, also. Jeanie says he wants to come back....so he wants to come back.

He is talking to way too many teams to be disinterested in a return. Although you could be right in that he may be eying a front office gig, not a bench gig. I would still bet that he wants to coach the right roster. The Lakers have the right roster now, with or without Dwight. Dwight simply makes things much more interesting.

Kobe sez: We're going to have to be dealt with

Not sure if this is a bold prediction for the post-season or simply a statement of fact that every team in the league will have to play the Lakers at least once.

So what did the lakers give up for Howard? If it was just Bynum as mentioned, what a steal.

Bynum and probably a draft pick in 2021.

I'll be pissed if it was both Pau and Drew for D12.

Sounds like it was a steal.

Why anyone would want to build their team around that loser Bynum is befuddling to me.

Screw Dan Gilbert. I guarantee the Lakers win a title before the so-called Owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers wins one.

Is Adam Morrison coming back for another ring? He, as well as 200 other candidates, would be a nice fit at SF for that starting five.

I wonder if the Magic like being the Lakers farm team?

They really got some special players back in Al Harrington and Afflalo.
