I just want to point out that Phil Jackson didn't retire yesterday and that he has 11 more titles than Jerry Sloan.

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

It is time to blow this baby up and rebuild. Everyone is on the chopping block, including Kobe.
I'm liking Dwight Howard in purple and gold, continuing the long tradition of excellent centers. Maybe some Carmelo and CP3, as well. Who knows?
Once the Kobe regime ends, I dont think it will be hard to find another couple of A-list players that will want to come and be The Man in LA.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

I don't know that you blow it up. But nobody should be off limits right now. But that's how I pretty much feel all the time. Whatever it takes to make the team better and win rings.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostIt is time to blow this baby up and rebuild. Everyone is on the chopping block, including Kobe.

Is it June yet?Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

I don't think it has ever really been an option. If it has and the Lakers didn't pull the trigger, they are poor decision makers. More realistically, I'd like to see the Lakers somehow land Chauncey and BirdMan.Originally posted by Jacob View PostWhat do Laker fans think of a potential Bynum for Carmelo right now?
Edit: I see a few of you already opined on a previous page. I wonder if recent events have management or fans rethinking the possibility.

I think this run is over. It has been a good run. Time has run its course, which is not a surprise.
The Lakers are still a good team, they just arent a championship contending team anymore, at least they don't look like it now.
Seasons change, so do rosters.
Mitch has already said that they arent going to trade before the deadline, so my guess is that Dr Buss has spoken with Kobe, Kobe really believes they can do it one more time, and when it does not happen, Buss will blow it up.
The team needs to make moves now while many of their pieces still have value.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.
