...as a member of the Charlotte Hornets? I have to admit I really liked Glen Rice in his short Lakers tenure. His J was so silky smooth! I loved Eddie Jones too, but his penchant for underperforming in the playoffs (real or perceived) pissed of Shaq. Probably the best part of the Eddie Jones/Elden Campbell for Glen Rice trade was that it also brought J.R. Reid's Kid 'n Play high-top fade to Los Angeles. I enjoyed that while it was there.

As 3D mentioned, Rice's lady tried to flex on the Jerrys, and the Glen Rice era in LA abruptly ended. In came Ho Grant, and the Lakers rolled to another Championship to the tune of 16-1 in the post season. Kind of amazing that LA 3-peated with a power forward rotation of AC Green, a very old Horace Grant, Samaki Walker, and Slava Medvedenko over those three years. Kobe and Shaq could've won titles with Surfah, DDD, and me running the other three spots on the floor.

Hey we also got Greg Foster in that trade with NY! Two of my favorite facts about Greg Foster is that he played in 3 finals. But only won one ring. Burn Jazz fans! Second fact, he played HS ball with the Glove at Skyline in Oaktown.

Cristy Rice now flexes in Miami on the real housewives. Glen beat up one of her boyfriends after coming home and accusing her of having other men in the house. Glen then finds a guy hiding in his closet, punches him in the face and throws him out of the bedroom. They didn't even divorce right after that incident. I suppose he had his fair share of girlfriends on the road too.

The Throat Slasher was a decent reserve for LAL. I got a kick out of his championship parade crowd speech, in which he took the mic and said, "if you can't beat 'em....join 'em." The crowd went wild for that one.

Speaking of another championship parade crowd speech, I think back to that one after they beat the Pacers....Rice had a horrible series and was in a funk in that game clincher, missing 3 of 4 free throws before redeeming himself with those critical game clinching 2 FTs at the very end (sorry Austin Croshere, that was a loose ball foul on you!). So the guy is feeling better about things, he tells the crowd at the parade that winning the ring was like him having his "aspirin," tells everyone he is excited for next year....and then he is promptly traded. His wife has been toxic his entire career and apparently she is still toxic. He must really like her or something.

Well she is easy on the eyes. They divorced though so I guess he got tired of her and the pool boys she'd entertain. Now she hangs out with Pippen's wife in Miami.

So I guess the Lakers won tonight. I honestly thought the game was tomorrow. We just got back from date night and I check out the news to see that there was a game tonight.

                    Is it June yet?

Same here. Looking at the box score it looks like Pau showed up.

Kobe looked spry. Drew and Pau both with double-doubles, and LO only 1 board away from joining them. Y'all need to step your game up and watch some playoff basketball!

I have the DVR set to record all games so I watched it this morning. Kobe did look spry. That block on Landry followed by that dunk was nasty. Bynum looked beastly that first quarter taking it up strong over and over. I am growing really tired though of seeing him go down and clutching that knee. I can't take much more of that. I have grown to really like Drew. But I have to say if we can get Dwight this summer, By-By-Bynum. I wonder if little Buss though will allow it.

(MY WIFE!) Alright. I guess in the same spirit of not hanging division championships, I can understand you waiting until the WCF to get serious about each and every game. Tell your lovely wife, hello.
