But I love the player, though I could do without the theatrics.

I am by no means a LJ fan, but if this is the worst you've got? I'm not sure I would call him an unqualified flopper.

Several of these were pretty good contact. A couple of times he lost his balance due to having someone standing on his foot or trying to stop before going out of bounds and getting bumped when he was off balance. The Fisher charge call seems legit to me - if you're setting your feet for a screen how do you not go down when someone runs right into the center of your chest?

Again - if this is the worst you've got, that's kind of sad. Someone needs to compile a new/better video for you to use for evidence, counselor.

Sure, but not like Ginobili does. Ginobili is the godfather of flopping.

The fact that there is a Lebroning meme is pretty good evidence that the world is familiar with his flopping. There are hundreds of Youtube videos for evidence if you wish to take a look. I didn't bother watching the video that was posted because the internet is littered with them.

              No he's not. Vlade is.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

                • It looks like the story of the Spurs not being boring but being beautiful is going to get retold often enough to make me really hate them again. I thought I was going to go into this Finals actually pulling for a Pop/Duncan team, something I never could've envisioned ever happening. But liking SA is getting way too popular, and those handing out the education that NBA fans haven't appreciated SA enough are going to be annoying enough to get me back in my comfort zone.

And FWIW, I think the idea that the Spurs were boring to watch was absolutely true early on in Pop's tenure. They played the right way in the sense of maximizing the roster they had with Robinson and Duncan. But they weren't playing then like they do now, not with Duncan/Robinson/Avery Johnson/Mario Ellie.

I don't think it's getting way too popular. Most people still seem to hate their style of play and find them boring, one new youtube video notwithstanding. I have a buddy who is a HS hoop coach and just loathes watching them play. I've spent years trying to figure this one out and still can't. There hasn't been a better team to watch in the league in years.

I guess it just seems that way because most of the hoops folks I follow on Twitter don't find them boring, and I see lots of shares on Facebook of that video and people saying "I wish more people would realize this".

                        • For me at least it was hard watching Ginobili have several seizures per night without getting the medical treatment he so desperately needed.

                          • A regression that combines regular-season win differential and playoff performance leading up to the Finals -- but not defensive rating, which isn't statistically significant as part of a regression -- correctly retrodicts 27 of the past 30 Finals outcomes. Based on that, San Antonio has an 88 percent chance of winning the Finals.

                            • How does the model account for Miami sitting Wade for 28 games during the regular season but not at all in the playoffs? How does it account for OKC not having Ibaka for two games against the Spurs? There might be some things working in Miami's favor too, but I think a model like that would skew the Spurs odds of winning.

I hate the Spurs. But most of all, I hate Michael Jordan and would like to see Lebron eclipse Jordan as the GOAT. Heat in 6.
