Time to watch Kaepernick run the two minute drill. lol.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

The 49ers passing plays in the two minute drill consist of four guys running streak patterns. They have two minutes to get into field goal range. Kaepernick is utterly clueless in checking down and passing it to his outlet.

If all you need to do is get into field goal range and you have over two minutes, you have a wide variety if plays to call. Too often, poor offenses panic in these situations and act like you have to gain big chunks of yards or throw to the sidelines. The focus needs to first be moving the chains.

USC, if you want Greg Roman, please take him.

Chiefs punt on the Broncos' 40 when they're down by 2 touchdowns in the 4th quarter. So incredibly stupid especially given how difficult it has to be for opposing punters at that altitude, the chances of pinning the ball inside the 10 or even more unlikely.

What are the chances your defense is going to hold Manning to a three and out late in the game? The game was already basically on the line.

Which is when I left the watch party in downtown KC. Color me fairweather Chiefs fan, but I really wanted to beat the traffic from the Selena Gomez concert next door at the Sprint Center...

Good MNF game tonight and ended with some controversy. Ref throw a flag on the last play and then waived it off. Looked like Gronk got held to me.

I hate the Patriots as much as anyone, but that was a crap no-call, especially if uncatchable was really the given reason. That ball was going to land at Gronkowski's feet. A tough catch, but not impossible.

I liked Denver's chances next week a lot more if the Pats had won tonight.

If not PI, it's illegal contact or holding. Kuechly wrapped Gronk up and drove him back. That is absolutely a penalty. That they didn't give an explanation either doesn't help their cause. If you wave a flag off in that situation, you need to explain why.

Those refs should be fined/sanctioned. Not a good way to end a game.

Former nfl ref Gerry Austin said if the ball is intercepted or knocked down short of where the penalty occurs there is no penalty.

                            That doesn't seem right.

Agreed. Obviously if the ball is tipped or intercepted at the line of scrimmage or well upfield then there's no penalty but that all occurred within 4 yards or so -- Gronk could have come back to make a play on the ball if he weren't being bear-hugged there.

If Brady throws a TD there I lose my fantasy game this week so I was OK with how it ended though.

I agree with the ruling. Good no call. Too many times QBs are bailed out when they make a poor throw with a PI call, especially on an under thrown ball. Brady makes a throw there and it's an easy call. I'm hanging this one on Brady, not the refs.
