That is too bad. Except for the fact he has a Giants jersey on his back the kid is hard not to like. He is a great young talent.

I was feeling bad for Posey until he started complaining about it being a dirty play. Now he's showing us his true inner bitch.

"I want to make this very clear: I don't know Cousins. I'm not out to vilify Cousins in any way whatsoever. It happened, and it's over with. But the main point I want to get across is a play like that is something that's got to be looked at by Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Association because, and this might sound dumb, but I feel fortunate I've just got a torn-up leg. "... I'm fortunate I didn't come away with a neck injury or a spinal injury."

"If you're completely in front of the plate, camped out, the runner doesn't have a choice," Posey said. "But I feel Cousins had a choice to slide or come at me, and he came directly at me."

Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

Giants now 12 games above .500, but I don't see how this continues. I'm not sure who deserves more credit, the pitching or Bochy, but both have been fantastic, IMO. If Zito can continue pitching well, perhaps it's time to trade one of the pitchers for a bat. The natural thought is Sanchez, but it'll be interesting to see what Sabean does.

After getting waxed by Minnesota they have ran off 7 in a row. Including taking 2 of 3 from the Twins, sweeping Cleveland, and sweeping a double dip against Chicago.

Did you see the stat they showed last night they were 7-89 in their previous 10 games with runners in scoring position. In game 1 vs Chicago they were 8-16.

This was awesome. I wish he had hit Tejada though. I did like how he picked the ball up and put in his back pocket. That's a pretty good throw by that kid.

After sweeping the Indians so that you'd be in first place, I think you owe us at least one game.

I do not understand the thing that one guy wears on his face. It is awful.

Are you talking about the catcher wearing his mask so the ball won't hit him in the face?

I don't think so. It looks like he's a pitcher for SF. But he's definitely wearing some kind of mask. Nasty looking thing.

Oh come on, you know you're intrigued, it's ok.

Anyone catch The Franchise last night? I liked it, but I thought it could've been better. Seems like they've caught up to the present when they could've taken it more slowly and really dive into the stories. Perhaps they will in subsequent episodes, so we'll see.

Nothing about Beltran in this thread? It will be nice to once again have a middle-of-the-lineup batter.

They're saying Belt will be optioned back to Fresno. I don't get it. That kid needs to play everyday and not get pulled up and down every other month from Triple-A.
