As compared to Jimmer, Smith plays on a team with more surrounding NBA talent in a weaker conference on a team with a weaker strength of schedule and a lower RPI.

Naturally, that makes him the POY over Jimmer.

Goodman has been looking for a reason to not give it to Jimmer all year. He was a huge Walker guy until he fizzled out. Then he was all over Sullinger. Recently, he's jumped on Smith. Even when he was tweeting through SDSU I, all he could talk about was how different the game would be if Leonard were healthy. It's been strange to watch.

First, it was Andre who beat a triple-team to tie the game at 70 apiece, and he had 21 points that night, plus made the perfect pass to allow KVH to tip in the game-winner the night before.
