That is a damn good comparison. Especially in body type and his being a gunner. I keep thinking a little about Vinnie Johnson as an NBA player, but Jimmer seems to have a better handle.

Jimmer may have a "loose" handle at times but he absolutely abuses everyone (except Jacob Pullen) with his crossover. I've not seen someone do that as easily in college since maybe Raymond Felton. The thing I worry the most about with Jimmer in the NBA is whether he can really play well off the ball. His strength and his post game may be what helps him learn to do that.

Guys, I hate to rain on the Jimmer-love, but it appears that #32 is NOT the top sharp-shooter in Provo!

I haven't seen him play since he was about 13, but at that age, he was a pretty damn good basketball player too.

Where is BbalProf? I always assumed he was a relative or maybe the big brother the way he hyped Jimmer 4-5 years ago, but he knew what he was talking about.

Jimmer is a once a generation type player. There may be other great ones to come to BYU, they may score similarly, may take BYU to similar heights, but for the next decade they will always be post Jimmer.

He's probably busy with Jimmer's hot sister.

I was thinking the same thing. The hoop got more separation than McKay did all year, well except when he woke up against Utah. Did his wife let him stay after practice that week? If she is an anti-utahite, maybe there is hope for next year. We can build on this! We can build on...this!!

Person named "Jimmer Fredette" attempts to be taken seriously

BYU head coach Dave Rose says having the name of a 3 year-old boy with glasses and a severe peanut allergy has driven Fredette to succeed and prove to people that he can do more than sit on the sidelines with his asthma inhaler reading books about dinosaurs.

Love the commenter "white mamba"...... He has clearly seen a lot of BYU and Fredette.

Matt Jones of CBS Sports makes me laugh. So true that it hurts.
