    We received the weekly email from Little BIL on his mish in JoBerg South Africa. This blurb was interesting:

    Thats a shame about byu, its crazy people here have heard of the byu basketball team some guy we were teaching was talking about them, its so crazy how popular they are getting, they are probably making history.

        legally yes, but not in practice.

        However, Jimmermania has obviously helped ease racial tensions in these townships.

          Jimmermania is woefully behind the times? He hasn't even got POY yet-- officially anyway. However, I can sort of see how Ute fans have viewed it as a done deal for quite some time now though, after that nuking at the Huntsman.

            He was actually teaching a prawn in District 9. Alien apartheid still needs to be overcome.

              I wasn't aware/forgot about that. My conclusion behind that statement was that BYU will play three games in three days, and that his minutes might be lessened against an outmatched opponent.

                  Yeah the slow-mo edits on some of the moves were awesome, especially the USF highlights. In fact, all those USF highlights are sick. I love the behind the back in the lane at about :48 and the between the legs move at about :55 is straight nasty.

                    Yeah there were a lot in there that I hadn't seen, and it's probably good that most others hadn't seem them either. His stuff at the beginning of the season was awesome.

                        I have been in Phoenix for the last couple of days for an industry conference. Yesterday, we went golfing. One of the guys in my foursome, from New Orleans, saw my BYU hat and went on for a couple of minutes about how great Jimmer is and how much fun he is to watch. A couple of minutes later, this guy, who graduated from LSU law school a couple of years ago, couldn't remember the name of LSU's basketball fan, so he is not a huge basketball fan, but Jimmer has sucked him in.

                          regarding the player of the year:

                          # Just a reminder, all four of the major awards have different dates of Player of the Year submission so a split award is fairly possible this season, especially if Duke or Ohio State go on a big run in the NCAA tournament. The Robertson Award was due on March 6 and the AP due March 13. The Wooden and Naismith Awards are voted on later this month.

                            I tell you it's the name. If Nolan Smith was named Jumpy or Wweezy or Scooter or something like that he would be winning all these awards. But who can hate on Jimmer?
