I don't recall Andre Miller taking DNP's his second season : confused:"The first thing I learned upon becoming a head coach after fifteen years as an assistant was the enormous difference between making a suggestion and making a decision."

I'm not sure what you are getting at. Are you implying that Jimmer is competing with André?Originally posted by Jarid in Cedar View PostI don't recall Andre Miller taking DNP's his second season : confused:
Jimmer is certainly not a HOFamer, but his situation in Sacramento is absurd. He has a great game and brings the team back in the 4th one night only to get zero minutes behind a couple of struggling PG's.

I didn't watch the game. I'm assuming from your outrage that Smart lost the game. Damn him.Originally posted by TexTechCoug View PostI'm not sure what you are getting at. Are you implying that Jimmer is competing with André?

No, just the blatant mismanagement of talent. Success in sports is due in large part to confidence and rhythm. Smart seems to be doing his best to sabotage Jimmer. Fredette's play this season warrants consistent minutes, but he still cannot become part of the regular guard rotation.Originally posted by Non Sequitur View PostI didn't watch the game. Are you suggesting that Smart is doing a good job coaching, or just being a douche bag?

Jarid, you must be grouchy after watching your Utes lose to BYU, again. I guess finding a thread to pick on a fellow Carbonite with an assist from a self-loathing BYU fan will ease your troubled soul.Originally posted by Jarid in Cedar View Post
I just checked the boxscore. This is the funniest thing I have read tonight.Last edited by TexTechCoug; 12-08-2012, 10:21 PM.

20 point road win might not be the time to suggest the guy is mismanaging the team.Originally posted by TexTechCoug View PostNo, just the blatant mismanagement of talent. I did suggest he is mismanaging the players. Why on God's green Earth would you keep your most efficient offensive player on the bench and play three other guards who all struggled?Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View Post20 point road win might not be the time to suggest the guy is mismanaging the team.
Second, a win on the road over the last place in the division Blazers to get your team to 7-12 doesn't typically indicate good coaching. on the bright side, after 19 games the Kings are only 9 games back from the conference leaders.
Regardless of tonight's score, there is no question that Smart is mishandling Fredette.Last edited by TexTechCoug; 12-08-2012, 10:30 PM.

Please son. Read this thread in its entirety and you will understand my first post. It has little to do with you.Originally posted by TexTechCoug View PostJarid, you must be grouchy after watching your Utes lose to BYU, again. Second, you sound quite a bit like some Utah fans who complain about how Alex Smith has been handled in San Francisco. Pro sports is a cutthroat business. Coaches do what they think they need to do win. They don't have an agenda to ruin someones career, to the detriment of their own. I am not arguing that Jimmer should play our not, I don't watch the nba for the most part, and when I do, I don't watch the Kings. But I can guarantee that Smart is not going out of his way to ruin Jimmer."The first thing I learned upon becoming a head coach after fifteen years as an assistant was the enormous difference between making a suggestion and making a decision."

I'm not sure what Smart is thinking and I am sure he isn't trying to lose. That being said he has demonstrated a bizarre way of playing the guy that will, at best, prevent Fredette from building on his recent good play and at worst screw with his head and mess up his game.Originally posted by Jarid in Cedar View PostPlease son. As to the threads's history and and your motives, I'm not interested in rereading pages of comments, but your timing seems suspect.
