Jimmer to the Celtics?

One of the more outrageous deals involves the Celtics and the Kings, the deal has a ton of moving parts, but the money works.

The Boston Celtics receive: Jimmer Fredette, Francisco Garcia, DeMarcous Cousins and J.J. Hickson.

The Sacremento Kings receive: Rajon Rondo, Chris Wilcox, Jujuan Johnson and Greg Stiemsma.

The Skinny: Rondo and Evans would be an excellent backcourt for the Kings. Cousins would be huge for the Celtics as a presence in the middle. The more I think about it, the more I like the deal. Johnson and Fredette are essentially a straight-up deal at this point and the addition of the other players is just the filler needed to make the money work on both sides.

C'mon Danny, make this happen. You've been exiled to Sac Town before. Save the Jimmer.

Even Andre Miller gets mentioned as a possible Celtic:

Denver Nuggets receive: Ray Allen, Chris Wilcox and Avery Bradley

The Boston Celtics receive: Andre Miller, Chris Andersen and Jordan Hamilton.

The Skinny: The Celtics end of with a center, a player with more upside than Bradley in Hamilton. Miller is simply filler needed to make the deal and has some value with his expiring contract.

The Celtics minus Rajon? Jimmer becomes an excuse for why the old guys fail in the playoffs and starts the fire Ainge push. Sounds like a win-win.

Hey, better read this thread to see where the first (lame) face-rubbing attempt was made. Besides, in 15 years my focus won't be on sports, it will be on keeping you guys off my lawn. (Except by then most of you will be as old as I am now....)

Someone else said it, but I agree that Jimmer needs to quit trying to fit in and play like Jeremy Lin. Lin said that last year and in previous stops this year he was always worrying about making the right play and trying to fit into the team he was playing with instead of just playing his game. When he got picked up by NY he said I am going to be me and if I suck then I know I couldn't make it playing my game. And that's what he's done. He's dominated the ball and been hyper aggressive with it and it has paid off. Granted D'Antoni is the perfect coach and system for that style of play but Jimmer needs to do the same. It's what IT has done on the Kings and the reason he's starting right now. At times he's a straight chucker and shows the same court awareness of Tyreke Evans but at other times he almost gets a triple-double like in the last game. I don't think Jimmer will ever be decent until he's on another team, but I think he needs to shed this try to fit in and not upset the apple cart attitude and just do what he does.

Isaiah Thomas is lighting it up against the Heat tonight. Jimmer hasn't seen the floor and isn't likely to. With Thomas playing so well, I wonder if Sac would entertain moving Jimmer?

Yeah IT as five 3s in this quarter. Good for him.

It would be great for Jimmer to go to a contender that needs a shooter and would give him at least 15-20 minutes per game. Hell it would be kind of humiliating but Jimmer would be better off getting some D-League minutes the way things are going.

IT has played pretty well in his two starts but the lineup is a disaster and huge defensive liability. They're running 3 guards who can't guard anyone. There are mismatches all over the place and IT, Reke and Thornton have been getting lit up. Not that this would change if Jimmer were in but it speaks to the coaching of this team. Watching the Kings pisses me off. They have one of the most talented big men and he's being wasted on that team. The guards don't know where to get him the ball and he doesn't know where to establish himself on the block. He's constantly having to create his own shot 20' out and it's evidenced in his atrocious FG%. I hate that Jimmer plays on the Kings. I effing hate that stupid ass franchise. I hope they move to Anaheim so they can draw Miami Heat like attendance at the Pond and be third fiddle in LA.

TJ went off on Twitter last night after Jimmer got another DNP-CD. Said Smart needs to be fired and that he's an assistant coach at best. He said Smart doesn't like Jimmer, etc. Not good.
