Remember when Jimmer humiliated the Utes in the Huntsman Center and didn't even care? It was like he stepped on an ant."I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando / Your man don't want it, Trump's a bitch! I'll make his whole brand go under,"

Obviously. Jimmer's teammates' roles on a highly successful team are clearly analogous to Jimmer's role on a team losing two thirds of its games.Originally posted by Maximus View PostI guess not making the post season is better."I think it was King Benjamin who said 'you sorry ass shitbags who have no skills that the market values also have an obligation to have the attitude that if one day you do in fact win the PowerBall Lottery that you will then impart of your substance to those without.'"

Jimmer got the start tonight with Thornton injured, but he doesn't look good. His handle has never been very tight, but it looks especially sloppy tonight. Although he's actually playing the point, he isn't acting like it. He usually gives it up to one of the wings upon reaching the frontcourt rather than trying to create.
He did make one good shot and got the RB on the one he missed. He also grabbed a nice steal. Right now he mostly seems happy to be there, which I can't blame him for, but a PG needs to be a leader and he isn't right now.

That's too bad. A Thornton injury is exactly what the doctor ordered for Jimmer to have a chance shine.Originally posted by woot View PostJimmer got the start tonight with Thornton injured, but he doesn't look good. I'm convinced that a lot of the problem is that the Kings' offense is 90% freelancing. It's a lot to expect a rookie to have the confidence and ability to know what to do with the ball when he can do anything he wants with it. If they had some set plays, or if any attempt were made to get Jimmer open, or if Jimmer's teammates got him the ball in any situation other than when he's the only guy available, Jimmer would probably do okay. Half the time these guys even seem reluctant to throw him the ball after a made basket. And he's the PG! Maybe that means there are some deeper issues at play, but maybe it's just another symptom of how undisciplined this team is.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostThat's too bad. I agree. It's so damn frustrating watching these guys inbound the ball and you have 3 guys all calling for that? WTF is that? Westphal before he was fired said it doesn't matter who brings the ball up in his offense and Smart seems to feel similarly.Originally posted by woot View PostI'm convinced that a lot of the problem is that the Kings' offense is 90% freelancing. I think there are some deeper issues at play with Jimmer and his teammates. When you watch the games, it seems you see Jimmer helping guys up, patting them on the back after good plays, giving them five as they come to the bench, etc, but never (rarely?) do you see the same from them toward Jimmer. Sure, he's making millions, but outside of that, if I had to guess, I'd say he's miserable.Originally posted by woot View PostI'm convinced that a lot of the problem is that the Kings' offense is 90% freelancing. Yeah. Watching huddles in timeouts it's the same thing. He's telling guys how many timeouts they have, how many fouls, etc. I feel terrible for him. He should move up his wedding date so he can at least have something to come home to.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostI think there are some deeper issues at play with Jimmer and his teammates. I think so too. Jealousy issues are rampant, players only care about themselves. How do you win ball games with no chemistry? You don't.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostI think there are some deeper issues at play with Jimmer and his teammates. I just really hope this doesn't derail his career for good. Given how bad the Kings are if I was the GM I would tell my coach to play Jimmer 30 minutes a game just to see if he can develop so you know what you have with him. Because they aren't going to win many games anyway. Plus, if he does develop and show he can play, the fans will rally behind Jimmer. He is just too likable. Its a win-win for the franchise.Last edited by Tone Loc; 01-10-2012, 08:40 PM.

I actually agree with Tyreke. Jimmer is not pulling the trigger on the deep shots like he used too. Instead he pump fakes and gets in the lane giving himself a tough runner or getting caught in the air. He needs to pull the trigger, I think he is worried about his shot getting blocked.Originally posted by Indy Coug View Post*Banned*
