Nobody is shooting well on that team right now. Tyreke is under 40% from the floor. Outlaw is at 30 from the floor and 15 from three, Salmons is not much better and they don't have a big over 50%.

They are a bad team right now with no help on the horizon. Isiah thomas was the first guard off the bench in the 2nd half instead of Jimmer. Jimmer has clearly changed his shot he is no elevating as much so he can get it off quicker and it has hurt him. In fact every thing he misses is short. He is still hitting over 35% from three which is respectable. He has aoso hown an ability to get to the rim when he needs to and get himself open look off th dribble. He is just not making them right now.

Third game in 3 nights tonight and 4th in 5 nights I don't expect anything different.

The writing on the wall has to be pretty clear to Kings management that they can't win with 1) Tyreke Evans - doesn't seem coachable and is too worried about getting his, and 2) Westphal - seems to have no control over his team and I don't know how many opposing team's announcers while watching on League Pass say something to the effect of "I've never seen a team play so much one on one basketball".

One or both has to go. Fast. I don't think there is any question the Kings have to get as much as they can, as soon as they can, for Tyreke. Perhaps they keep Westphal and see what he can do with a team sans Tyreke, but ultimately, I think he has to go as well. And third, maybe Cousins is a lost cause. I just think with Cousins you have to be more patient because he is such a talented big man.

The Kings are the youngest team in the NBA. They only had two exhibition games and a very abbreviated training camp to figure things out. Granted, the Kings have enough personality and talent issues that a normal preseason wasn't going to work them out either, but IMO it's really hurt Jimmer's early performance.

Additionally, with the accelerated schedule I think we're seeing a lot of ups and downs in team performances across the league, but for the weaker teams the lows will look especially bad.

Four games in five nights gives you what you saw in Denver.

I love Jimmer, but he won't be playing in the NBA beyond next year if he continues to play this way.

I haven't noticed a lack of height on his jump shot, but he does seem to be thinking about his shot instead of just shooting.

Jimmer leads the team in assists, so he is doing some good things.

I thought I Isaiah Thomas might supplant Jimmer, but Isaiah had four crummy turnovers and only one assist last night.

I agree. Tyreke needs to get traded while he still has value. And I think Westphal is the worst kind of coach you can have for what I believe is the youngest team in the league. His freestyle offense doesn't provide Cousins the opportunity to grow and develop. Both need to go. But for some reason the Maloofs love him. They're turning into Jerry Jones there in Sacto and are meddling too much with the team. Geoff Petrie used to be one of the best GMs but they have cut off his nuts. I know Petrie didn't want Jimmer but the pick was forced on him. The trade for Salmons was dumb. Also terrible was the Outlaw signing. And to think this team wanted Jamal Crawford too.

You are wrong about Jimmer not playing in the NBA. He is not even close to that right now. He has played well enough to show that he belongs, he has proven that he can create his own shot which was a huge question mark coming in. He has played adequate defense especially considering the fact that he is usually matched up on the opposing teams 2 or 3 not their PG like he should be. On top of that he has been a good passer and I think he can run a team eventually.

The problem is he is not hitting the shots we are used to seeing him make but I think that will come as well, remember all of his points he has to create himself nobody is going to drive and dish on that team. Tyreke loves going 1 on 3 and having watched every Kings game this year I have yet to see him give it up on a fast break.

Jimmer will be fine and will have a long NBA career, the situation in Sacramento is terrible right now. He would have been better off staying a Buck.

I hope you are right. The offense does seem to flow better when Jimmer is in the game.

Jimmer was brought in to hit shots. I worry that he won't play much if he can't hit open looks.

It will even out. He is getting decent looks and he has not forgotten how to shoot.

Take the game against Memphis, which has been his best shooting game thus far. Thomas (it takes an unselfish rookie to set the example....very sad!) drove to the hoop and dished to Jimmer 3 times for easy, in the flow of his shot, threes. No coincidence that Jimmer's best shooting game came from people getting him the ball when in the flow of the game.

It's a start, but unless the new coach can reign in Tyreke, not likely, very little will change.

It isn't just Tyreke. Thornton is as big of a ball hog as Evans. He is just a more skilled player.

Keith Smart ran an uptempo guard oriented offense in Golden State if he stays as HC it might only get worse.

Jimmer Fredette will play 10+ years in the league and be solid, but right now he is a bad player. You can blame it all on everyone around him all you want, but he is still a bad player right now.
