  • Memo shut down for the rest of the year. Didn't see that one coming.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Probably the right move but what a disappointment. I tore my achilles a decade ago and I still feel pain on occasion.

      • I can't believe CJ is still only 23. Seems like he should be so much older than that.

        Jimmer is 22.

It is kind of crazy. You have rookies like Wes Johnson and Ekpe Udoh that are the same age as CJ. His age is the only hope I have left that he'll pan out, especially when I see a guy like Dorell Wright finally turning into the type of scorer people thought he would be at 25.

FWIW that is my opinion of CJ - he is still young and keeps showing flashes, ie last night, that give me hope. Maybe it's false hope, but it is still hope

I may be small, but I'm slow.

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to, "The United States of America ", for an amount of "up to and including my life - it's an honor."

Two weeks ago I said I was done with CJ. Then he goes and plays a couple games in a row like he has. But along with others, I have been calling for him to start all year.

As for Favors. I'm starting to think he could average about 12 and 8 if he played 32mpg (and didn't foul out). Right around Amare's rookie stats. And a better defender.

He needs some work on his body. I not sure when it happened, but at some point the kid went from desperately needing to add weight to looking like he needs to lose weight.

I'm looking at his numbers right now, and honestly they're pretty decent. The shooting percentages aren't the best, but he's averaging a career high in PPG (13.0), a career high in scoring rate (21.2) and a career high in PER (15.71).

I think if we took him in the draft last year and he was averaging these numbers in his 2nd year at this age, we'd be pleased. But since he's been here forever and feels more like a veteran, I think our evaluation of where he should be is maybe a bit skewed.

Locke claims that in his last six games as a starter, CJ has scored at least 19 points.

What's the over/under on days until Raja complains again? I bet he's pissed he only got 24 min last night despite CJ's best Kevin Durrant.

                      • Locke was on the DJ/PK show this morning and he said "statistically" (whatever that means) the Jazz starting lineup of Deron, AK, Al, and Millsap + CJ was the 3rd "best" lineup in the NBA, and that the same lineup + Raja was the worst, based on some minutes played threshold.

I'm pretty sure it came from 82games top 5-man units, since it was being discussed on jazz boards before the trade.

Yeah, Bill Simmons was mentioning that back at the trade deadline. I took Corbin three weeks to figure out what Sloan couldn't in 4 months--Raja needs to ride pine.

You're missing out. The last two games have been really entertaining--far more entertaining than anything we saw from this team in January. Favors and Al are a nice combo inside.
