Ask him if he will steer his son towards BYU.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Nadine Wimmer just praised Sloan and Johnson for their longility, which, as everyone knows, is the word meaning length and agility. Something makes me think she's a little closer to the organization than we may think.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

I thought Sloan and Johnson came across very well there. High road was taken. Sloan did a good job of keeping the heat off of Williams. I'll miss Sloan. I sure appreciate all that he has done for the Utah Jazz. Sad day for me.A man who views the world the same at fifty as he did at twenty has wasted thirty years of his life. - Mohammad Ali

Especially when the out-going coach has had Sloan's career.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostOne coach resigning and another being announced as the new head coach in the same press conference. Kind of weird.
Lots of people in the Jazz front office are there because of hard work and not for other reasons and it ends up resulting in productions like this and Miller's speech opening night last year.

No idea about the offense or whether its a good hire, but Corbin has been interviewing a lot for other HC jobs the last few years.Originally posted by Maximus View PostThoughts on Corbin? screw the millers, and screw deron. let's see if that bitch knows what's best for this team now. greg miller is such an uninformed entitled moron that he thought this was a good move. i hope this team loses every game for the rest of the season and is sold within a year.Te Occidere Possunt Sed Te Edere Non Possunt Nefas Est.

I'm not sure where this is coming from. I think today its become pretty clear that Sloan was the one who walked away. Apparently the Jazz have been trying to get him to stay all day long. "This has been cultivated over the last 5 or 6 years because every morning I'd wake up and not know how to step away."
Ok, that's paraphrased, but an interesting comment nonetheless, and something that was speculated on earlier. Nissalke even just said he thinks Jerry looks relieved right now.
This has been coming for a while, and I think it's pretty obvious that Jerry knew it and just didn't know what to do.So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

there had to have been some shift in leverage with the millers' involvement that made sloan feel the need to leave. he's dealt with some egos in the past, but this is what happens when ownership tells a player that they'll do anything they can to build a franchise around him.Originally posted by falafel View PostI'm not sure where this is coming from. Sloan is leaving on his own terms. Jazz wanted him to stay. Some players and many fans did not.

My guess is the talks this morning were to try to get Jerry to finish out the year. It would allow the team to give him the proper send off and for Corbin to have more time to adjust his mindset from being assistant coach to being ready to take over the head job. But I also assume Jerry said he wouldn't stick around if he wasn't prepared to give it his all and that last night was the tipping point that made the negatives outweigh the enjoyment he got out of the job.Originally posted by Jacob View PostLink?
