But lets be honest, isn't that kind of the ceiling for this team? I mean anything less than that would be a disappointment and anything better would beat expectations, right?

The biggest problem is they could easily be close to .500 right now. The big comebacks have been great, but on the whole they have not played inspiring ball.

The Jazz and Heat are making Hollinger look like a genius right now with his constant "MOV as a better indicator of the future than current W/L record" arguments.

Yes, but that's not the problem. The problem is that this team really hasn't even played at 4-7 seed level. This team could just as easily be .500, and is 3-4 over their last 7 with the majority of those games coming against sub.-500 opponents.

For most of the season their play has been closer to that of a non-playoff team, and they should be better than that.

Except that they have played at a 4-7 seed level. I know perception is coloring reality but the Jazz are pretty much who most thought they would be. I get the last stretch has been frustrating. Trust me, I understand completely about being underwhelmed by my team's play. I think the Jazz are just in a little funk. I think they'll be fine though and finish middle of the pack like they should.

What do you dispute? Where did you project this squad at the beginning of the year compared to where they are now?
