Interesting that Deron didn't rest at all start the 4th after last night's debacle. That was one of the things I was hoping Sloan would tinker with.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I think 8 boards is Deron's career high. Does he get his first ever triple double?

Not getting good looks now that we're trying to kill the full clock every possession.

Booz getting on the floor? I almost couldn't believe my eyes.

only 8 players played. Maynor only had 6 minutes too. 2-1 so far in hell week. A win over the Lakers on Saturday would really be nice.

Good win tonight. This was almost a must have.

30-46 from the FT line sucks, but great bounce back win from last night.

That second half was incredible. 68 points and defense like we haven't seen in ages (at least it seems that way).

Maybe one day Dwight Howard will develop actual post moves.

To be fair maybe his idiotic teammates should realize the Jazz have little to no interior defense and get him the ball. On the other hand, and to be fair to the Jazz as well, they played decent interior defense but mostly on the timing of the double team, not necessarily by the post defender. They changed it up a lot. Sometimes they came immediately and other times they waited for Howard to dribble or make his first move. I love Hubie on TNT doing these games. His analysis of the Jazz is spot on. They lack team speed and interior defense and the only way they can be successful is by playing good team defense and in the latter half of the second and all of the third it was a thing of beauty.

More than anything I think this game against the Magic demonstrated to me how truly great the Lakers are right now. They made a decent team look like a D-league team and they made it look easy. The fact that the Jazz the very next night bounced back at home and beat the 2nd best team in the league just puts in specific relief the distance between the Lakers and 2nd place in the league.

Oh, I know Dwight is capable of destroying the Jazz even without any post moves.

I just wish he would develop some. His waste of athletic talent is the biggest tragedy in today's NBA, in my opinion.

Did you watch the Laker game? The Jazz were flat out missing shots. Wide open jumpers. Runners in the lane. Wide open 3-pointers. You can attribute that to the Lakers if you want, but I'm not going to. The Lakers played good defense, trapping well and causing more than one shot-clock violation, but if the Jazz make the makeable shots, it's much more of a game.

Odds are that the Jazz will win a game against the Lakers this season. When they do, you will likely be very excited to know that the result of that game will then prove that the Jazz are head and shoulders above the rest of the NBA.

Dwight Howatd is 24. He averaged 20 ppg last year. Best defender in the league last year. Any description of his game with the word tragic, is a tragic post.
