Beal might be my favorite player in the league- skills-wise. He is so freaking good and consistent. I wish DM was a little less emo. I think if he got his mental stabilized he would take a big step forward. Imagine if he was consistent."I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando / Your man don't want it, Trump's a bitch! No he totally has a game plan. The dominoes have to fall according to where KD lands, though-- a whole lot of assets are going to be shifting around the league in a minute. As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

So, given what the Jazz got for Gobert, it means that they are definitely trading Donovan, right? It has to be a tear down based on that trade. I'm not opposed to this, but that has to be the direction at this point. As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

Jazz just picked up Patrick Beverly. LOL! Now I can go back to hating them."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

No. Last year we had the best record in the league. This year we were a 4 seed. Perrenial playoff appearances, multiple all-stars on the team. Right in the mix. Now we're in 'rebuild' on some major shit show while the Timberwolves look like Team USA circa 92.Originally posted by BigPiney View Post

Anger? For what? The team has hit its plateau with this group. No deal of DM or RG is going to bring back the right players to turn this team into a competitor. DM is 5 years younger than Rudy, so you’ve got more of a window, even if he is less dominant than Rudy was. I love Rudy. He’s exactly what you want your kids to look up to. But the Jazz as constricted couldn’t get where they need to with Rudy and the pieces they have IMO. He’s decision to move him? Absolutely. But realistically given what they got back (meaning picks plus cap flexibility) probably worth it and probably the right business move.Originally posted by MartyFunkhouser View Post

Does Trader Dan move DM? Maybe. I think the offer to land Don would have to be bigger than what the Jazz got for Rudy right now. If you get that, I don’t know how you don’t make that move if it’s on the table and go full blown rebuild,
moving Bogey and Conley as well.
I could also see them playing it out this year with Don, Clarkson and Bogey (I think Conley gets moved for sure
due to fit alongside Don) and trying to add a piece via trade like Ayton to stay competitive. If you give yourself some future flexibility adding picks and still make the playoffs, that’s not a bad spot to be. I could see this year being a shot at that, and if it doesn’t work, blowing it up fully at the deadline this year. My take is that’s probably the approach they’re going to take. But at this point still, anything is on the table.

I didn’t listen to the Twitter Spaces with the Jazz beat writers (Sarah Todd, Tony Jones, and Andy Larsen), but based on second-hand reports coming out of there the Jazz were a mess last year. Don and Mike were divas. Rudy’s teammates hated him because of his public criticism of their effort, and Rudy Gay was a cancer. Quin had no control of the team and play calls were being ignored. Once they blew the 17-pt lead against Golden State in April they basically gave up the rest of the season. Pretty damning stuff.

That GS game you kinda knew they’d be one and done.Originally posted by YOhio View PostI didn’t listen to the Twitter Spaces with the Jazz beat writers (Sarah Todd, Tony Jones, and Andy Larsen), but based on second-hand reports coming out of there the Jazz were a mess last year. Also, if you want to talk about divas, so many of the Jazz beat writers have been super defensive about what they did/didn’t report during the season. It’s kinda funny because now that the year is over, willing to spill the tea but they painted a not rosy but not full picture of what was going on during the season.
New Trib Jazz (Eric Walden) and Sarah Todd were especially defensive.
