Ford has said repeatedly that the Jazz don't have interest in Smart, but I'm not sure I believe that.

I thought I heard it was deleted it a few minutes later. I don't know what that means, but it's no longer there.Originally posted by Jacob View PostSo Marcus Smart tweeted that he wasn't going to work out for Utah because "they aren't interested in me." Anyone know if that was legit?
Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised if the Jazz aren't interested due to so-called character issues. Marcus Smart is a little crazy, but I'm confident he'll be a pretty good character guy in the NBA.I'm like LeBron James.

This kind of relates to a small issue I had with the coach interview process the Jazz apparently had. Several media guys were praising how involved the Millers were in the process, saying that Gail and two of her boys had 3 hour meetings with each of the candidates that got a 2nd interview with the team. I didn't see that as a good thing at all, because to me it meant the Millers were likely to stress non-basketball items far more than they should've been. It doesn't mean they didn't get the right guy, but why would the owners meet for 3 hours with a candidate, w/o Lindsey being there? So they could make sure Snyder was really sorry about cheating on his wife?Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostI thought I heard it was deleted it a few minutes later. Sounds like this guy is going to be on the staff, and from the bio he likely crossed paths with Lindsey quite a bit along the way.

I hope they do this with all players that come in for workouts. I noticed Smart has #blessed in most of his tweets, so I feel like the Millers will love him.Originally posted by BGRTHNUMEGO View PostThis kind of relates to a small issue I had with the coach interview process the Jazz apparently had. Well, Burks is a star at the 2, and some would say Burke is a young and promising PG and he may feel there isn't a place for him in the backcourt. Too bad, because I have serious doubts about Burke's promise.Originally posted by Jacob View PostThat sounds pretty ridiculous. I wasn't aware there was a Burke/Burks situation.I'm like LeBron James.

OK. The Oracle has spoken. Locke says that it is completely false that the Jazz have no interest in Smart and that they have been working with his agent.
I was just browsing all the positional stats that draft express has. Hard not to walk away from that and not believe that Smart is a top 5 player in this draft. I have a hard time thinking he won't be a good player. As far a sure-things, I'd probably rank him #2 behind Jabari.
It's funny to think of James McAdoo now that he is in the draft and I don't even see him in the 2nd round at draftexpress. Isn't he the guy who would have been in consideration for a top pick if he came out as a freshman? Who is this year's McAdoo? There probably isn't one in the top 5 or so. Could it be Vonleh? Gordon?
Don't know anything about this Jokic guy from Europe, but his numbers and age look pretty comparable to Saric and maybe better. Might be a good late pick.
I'm losing interest in this #5 pick. Starting to hope the Jazz give away the farm to move up for Wiggins or Parker.

Those statistical rankings by position DX does are always fun. Perhaps my favorite pre-draft analysis out there each year. Smart did show very well and I'm glad to hear Locke thinks he's still in play for Utah. I'll take what I can get at this point. Having said that, I think the Jazz are taking Randle if they stay at 5.Originally posted by Jacob View PostOK. The Oracle has spoken. I read a rumor earlier today from somebody in the media claiming the Jazz are dangling Burks + #5 in order to move up to nab Parker. IMO, Burks will be a better NBA player than Parker over time (that's not saying much, but whatever), so that rumor shook me up a bit.

There's a very good chance you're the only person on the planet that thinks this.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostThose statistical rankings by position DX does are always fun.
