    more paraphrasing;
    " we love Alec Burks, we are just really trying to give as much time as possible to guys who won't be on the team next year. what can you do? sure He's great. but this team is better than great."

      Anyone hear Larry Brown's comments on Burks? Not sure why he was talking about him, but he said that he really likes Burks but fears he is just going to get lost in Utah.

      But at least he agrees with Corbin in that they both say they like Burks.

        Yay mediocrity. I would hope there's at least improvement from last season, but there's not.

          That's because Ty "Little Jerry" Corbin is still the coach.

            There's no way Foye should be starting at 2-guard. He's as one dimensional as they come, and if that long-range shot is going, he's useless. Best to bring him off the bench and if he's hot let him run for a bit. If he's not, just sit him back down.
            So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

              Decent win I guess.

                Local articles abound on Alec Burks and each author pleads with Corbin to truly explain himself or simply play the kid. Sad.

                Golden St rolls into town tonight simply to throw salt on our wounds and with a starting line up of Tinsley, Foye, Al, & Paul I don't know how the Warriors stand a chance. I can't think of 4 players more able to play 1-on-1 or team defense in the league.

                    Man I nearly went tonight. I should have gone, if only to meet up with the most beautiful man on CUF.

                    When you leaving town?

                            Anyone care to explain why Marvin Williams isn't fitting in with this team? I get that this team has no identity offensively and is a mess defensively but he has talent but appears as hesitant as any player in recent memory. Is it just Al sucking the air out of the offense or is he just not that great?

                              Because he has no offensive skills. His 3pt shooting last year was an aberration, he can't play with his back to the basket, can't create off the dribble, etc. And that is a really bad combination with an offense that tries to feature a big who can't pass and a PG who can't either.

                                I thought I saw more "creation" in Atlanta than I have in SLC but that's obviously this fan's perspective and not reality. Could have been the offense was less structured in Atlanta, I don't know. He doesn't touch the ball much for a fairly active player which I attribute somewhat to Al but he truly doesn't seem capable of taking any 3 off the dribble which is disappointing.

                                I also think that he and Gordon B Hinckley don't complement each other very well. As I see it neither are as agressive as they need to be and each lacks the ball skills to attack the opposition. G-Hay is better than Marvin but Gordon turns the ball over way too much and he's hardly getting any assists either.

                                What a disappointing year.
