Ditto. Jacob, I would suggest asking the mods to move this thread into that one. I think you'll get more discussion. Done.Originally posted by JacobMods. Please merge my post into the other Jazz thread, if you care. I didn't realize we were passed by that pathetic Big 12 thread. @tribjazz reporting (or regurgitating) that the Pacers still have interest in Millsap. Moving Paul with solid value returning would help balance out that front court, especially if Okur can play some minutes this year.
The Pacers are currently well under the cap but they do have a few roster sports that they've got to fill. But it would allow for a salary dump + draft pick(s) trade, giving the Jazz a chance to balance out their roster better via free agency/amnesty pick-up. But the Pacers also traded for George Hill and weren't in love with Collison's season last year. That'd be a nice piece to shore up the PG minutes. I doubt Indiana has any interest in moving Leonard that they got at pick 15, but Bertans that they got in the 2nd round would be a nice prospect to trade for.

I could get behind trading Millsap for Collison/1st rounder. Then resign AK for a reasonable deal to play backup 3/4. And then cut Bell.Originally posted by BGRTHNUMEGO View Post@tribjazz reporting (or regurgitating) that the Pacers still have interest in Millsap. Or just cut Bell."Sure, I fought. I had to fight all my life just to survive. They were all against me. Tried every dirty trick to cut me down, but I beat the bastards and left them in the ditch."

Millsap straight up for George Hill. Regarding Bertans, I agree - he'd be a good prospect to get in a trade.Originally posted by BGRTHNUMEGO View Post@tribjazz reporting (or regurgitating) that the Pacers still have interest in Millsap. I vote Milsap as well.
Does anyone else see the 2011-12 Jazz as somewhat analagous to the 2011-12 BYU Cougars? Consider:
- Versatile roster (a lot of different "looks") without a dominant player
- Questionable defensively
- Stongest unit is in the post... but they are a B+ on their best nights
- Wings are inexpereinced talent just beginning to glimpse it's potential
- PG, especially depth, is an issue
- Reasonably deep bench
Of course, BYU has a great coach in Rose, and while I'm hopeful for Corbin, he is unproven."Sure, I fought. I had to fight all my life just to survive. They were all against me. Tried every dirty trick to cut me down, but I beat the bastards and left them in the ditch."
