I just looked at the nba.com info page for Jermaine O'Neal. That guy is only 31 years old. lol. He's more broken down than Shaq who's 38.

He played 70 games last year and averaged 28 min, 13 pts, 7 boards, and 1.5 blocks for the Heat. For 6 million a year, why wouldn't you roll the nice on his knees? He's going to make KG's life a million times easier next year. The Jazz dropped the ball on this one. They could have gotten him for Harpring's trade exception and a 2nd round pick.

Any of the following names excite you for whom the Jazz might go after?

Luis Scola - Restricted F/A, so you'd have to overpay to avoid the Rockets matching and the guy is already 30.

Troy Murphy - Intriguing. Contract year. Solid player. Who do the Jazz have they could trade for Murphy? (Assuming the Pacers could get a better player from a team seeking cap relief.)

Tyson Chandler - Knees more questionable than J. O'Neal. Free agent next year, so no guarantee he sticks around even if you make the trade.

Enema Okafor - Pass.

Andres Biedrins - Okur-lite. Pass.

Hopefully KOC/Sloan will re-sign Brewer & Fess, screw the Blazers and let them overpay for Mathews, and throw big bucks at Horford next year.

I've seen enough NBA Games to know that Biedrins is not your solution to a lack of interior defense. I thought the Jazz already had a tall, skinny help-defender?

Biedrins is 6'11 240, he runs the floor well, he plays good help defense, I actually think in the right system he is a 14 and 10 guy.

Doesnt matter now he is going to the Knicks for David Lee.

Because he is a pretty good on ball defender. And also having two skinny off ball shot blockers would make you a pretty good defensive team.

The Jazz need to build a team that can beat the Lakers. Adding Biedrins would have been nice, but he couldn't guard Gasol or Bynum. He'd be great for defending a guy like Odom, but the Jazz already have AK.

The Jazz need a legit, big-bodied center.

Beasley to Minny for a 2011 second round pick? What the hell? Even if you didn't think he could play for Sloan you still get him for a 2nd rounder.

Hayward has averaged 2.5 points for every shot he's taken. Not too shabby.

I thought you weren't making predictions based on summer league. If Turner doesn't turn out to be an All Star, I'll be surprised. I haven't watched 2 minutes of summer league, besides that video.
