Beck absolutely has the physical tools. It's all mental with him. If he can pick it up he can be very effective at the pro level.

He played a good chunk of the second half last night with mixed results. Took some sacks early, but played better late. Didn't throw any TDs, but I'm pretty sure he didn't throw any picks either.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

          This most definitely applies here:

I didn't see it, but from what I understand he was running for his life early on. He did not throw any interceptions, but he had three balls batted down.

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

Part of that was the play calling. They said in the local papers that Rex was probably going to play 3 quarters because Beck doesn't know the playbook yet. So they gave him a steady diet of run plays which led to some 3rd and long passing downs so the defense was pinning back their ears and coming for him.

He did also look like he got his foot stepped on by the center or guard two or three times. All in all, it looked like his first game with a team he has only been a part of for a week.

I think the most impressive thing was how good McNabb looked with a new playbook, other than the opening drive. Grossman has been playing in the system so he looked pretty good too. But then, so did Danny Wuerffle in the ball coach's pre-season games.

That would make sense. I think the biggest plus out of this is that Beck didn't fumble or throw any interceptions. It will be interesting to see how he does in his next game.

2:00 to go, Skins down 3 with the ball and a chance.

McNabb has been a huge upgrade over Campbell, but in major spots he makes some really bad decisions. Exhibit A. is the long pass on 4th and 10. You don't need 60 yards Donnie, you need 10.

All those Indy fumbles kept this game close. That and Indy tackles like BYU under Jaime Hill. The Skins need a playmaker on offense. They have nothing.

I bet BYU would like to have him back with the current slouches they've got. What a play.
