Interesting, who are the QBs they keep on the roster? Mcnabb and then I am guessing Grossman is the backup? Beck the 3rd QB? What about Brennan?

Well, Grossman is on a 1-year deal, so he could be gone if Shanny sees enough out of Beck or Brennan. Trading for Beck at this point makes me think that Brennan is not impressing the coaches. Though Shanahan is all about competition, so it'll be interesting to see what happens.

Though I'm sure John Beck is disappointed, it's a pretty convenient trade for him. His commute might be a little longer, but he probably doesn't have to move houses or anything.

So what do you think the chances are of him sticking?

At quarter back they are hoping that McNabb can give them 3-5 productive years. At running back they are hoping to get production out of a group of guys who has something to prove, having an aversion to paying a lot for a free agent and having bigger needs in the draft.

Colt was in a program that was built around him in Hawaii. I am not surprised. Look at what happened when Hawaii played Georgia in the Sugar Bowl. He was a good qb in a great system.

Surfah is clearly part of the Colt cult. Colt was Jim Zorn's project and once Jim Zorn was gone, it was only a matter of time before he was gone. Interestingly enough, Brennan was interviewed on the way out and they told him they've had their eye on Beck for a long time and have been trying to aquire him for a while. He has a connection to Kyle Shannahan, the offensive coordinator...so it is certainly possible that he could be groomed for the job.
