That was not enjoyable watching that 19 point lead shrink to 4 so quickly. Against San Diego. A terrible, terrible team.

Whatever happens, it appears that the threshold of 10 ppg for the bet was perfect. Coming down to the wire.

Yeah, depth has been a huge disappointment this year.Originally posted by New Mexican Disaster View PostThat stat sheet really emphasizes how bad the 3 point shooting has been other than Haws and Emery."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Guinn and Beo, while not horrible, aren't really "good" 3 point shooters.Originally posted by New Mexican Disaster View PostThat stat sheet really emphasizes how bad the 3 point shooting has been other than Haws and Emery.
Rose is horrible.
Every time I see Dastrup shoot a three I want to punch something.
But there is a special place in the Telestial reserved for Elijah Bryant shooting a miserable .217 on the season. He's something like five out of his last 31. A whopping .161 - shamefully bad.
EDIT: Removed the percent symbol after the .161 because I know how to do math even though I'm sometimes lazy and sloppy in my communication.Last edited by BigFatMeanie; 02-17-2017, 10:15 AM.

One question: Why has Dastrup replaced Aytes in the rotations? Aytes is not fantastic, but he has shown some ability to score. Dastrup has not shown that yet. Is it just the height differential?"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."
Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

Aytes is a senior. Dastup is a freshman. Which one has more potential to help in the years to come?Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

Correct. And winning this year should matter. I would like for Dastrup to develop, but when BYU is struggling for production from the bench, Aytes has shown an ability to score, or at least better than Dastrup at this current stage. Next year, Dastrup may be a better option.Originally posted by BigFatMeanie View PostAytes is a junior."Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

He had a run there for a few games where he was hitting threes, but he seems to be back to shooting bricks again. Seems a little more under control driving to the basket though.Originally posted by BigFatMeanie View PostGuinn and Beo, while not horrible, aren't really "good" 3 point shooters.

Technically you are right; Aytes is averaging slightly more points per minute. Slightly. But Dastrup is outpacing Aytes in every other statistical category. And also spreads the court. As a freshman. Versus a junior. So while you are tenichally right that Aytes brings more scoring, it's not a significant enough amount to justify playing him over a younger, more productive player.Originally posted by Topper View PostCorrect. Correct. You aren't making the tournament, time to develop for the future. Same reason LJ Rose opts to have surgery on a meniscus tear he has been dealing with all season. It was time for TJ to take over at the point.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostTechnically you are right; Aytes is averaging slightly more points per minute. Slightly. Valid enough. Dastrup does have an upside as well. He is simply a step or half a step slow to getting it done.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostTechnically you are right; Aytes is averaging slightly more points per minute. Slightly.
