Yes indeed. That win atones for a lot of sins.

Yeah that loss against St. Mary's in Provo really was a gut punch because it felt like our last chance to beat a very good team this season.

So happy for Mika to get recognized for his talent and hard work and how about Kaufusi getting the offensive rebound and clinching bucket? TJ having a good game with 5 3s and Emery breaking out of his slump to hit a couple of 3s to get us back in the game was just awesome stuff.

All of the significant players contributed to this win. Mike, goes without saying. Childs, limited through fouls still had some key buckets; EBryant was steady on defense and offense; Haws carried the team offensively, and Emery had those two key three pointer. Kaufusi was used appropriately and responded. A nice memorable win. If this team can avoid yips against the lesser teams, it will enjoy a nice season next year.

        • One thing that was a key last night but not talked about was the team wide focus on rebounding. Look at our starters rebounds at all spots versus theirs. Nick especially rebounded well considering his size.

Bryant played well on defense, in rebounding and in getting a couple of timely turnovers. Nick contributed despite having a subpar offensive day. I note when he sets his feet and squares up he shoots well, but so often he's off-balanced or forcing shots.

I remember TJ getting a few weak side defensive rebounds and being somewhat surprised at how aggressive he was being.

Mmmmm, I think Mika carried the team offensively, if anyone did. TJ had a good offensive game, no doubt.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

We had a slight edge but my point isn't about us out rebounding them, it is how and who rebounded. Our starting guards got 5, 4, and 4 rebounds. Theirs got 3, 1, and 0. Big difference in this game if our guards don't rebound.

We also don't sub so more minutes equals more opportunities

Bryant came up with a couple big rebounds in traffic.

Yep, it's unusual for our guards to be crashing the boards since they are generally looking to run on the outlet. It was clear that with the slower pace everyone was expected to rebound.

                              They didn't sub either.

If you go by ESPN's stats, before I was looking at Yahoo, and you look at guards with the most minutes, our guards are 5, 4, 4, and theirs are 5, 2, 2. When rebound totals are in the 30s, that's a big difference.
