What's wrong with this solution to the NBA age requirement.
Have the players stay 2 years in college. If they are good enough they can be drafted after the 1st year and sign a contract, but they can't receive any money until the next draft date where they will be paid their first years salary not even having played a game professionally yet. This will be solve a lot of concerns on either side of the equation where a player won't lose money by injury by staying in school, and the NBA team gets a more polished player. The tweeners will have to stay in school and possibly improve their draft status.
