    1. The game titles announcing the Colorado game are the same shades of blue in Ty Haws' shirt.
    2. The game titles have a faint overlay of Haws' profile gently in the background.
    3. That ever-so tasteful glimpse of Ty's G's at 0:15. He's temple recommended ladies, and he's all yours!
    4. Someone created a gif of the hip thrust that is hilarious. I don't know how to copy it here but it's at http://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2013/...piration-video in the comments section.

This is an inspired (haw!) marketing campaign. Basketball season hasn't even started and here are some of the media outlets talking about it:

    SB Nation
    NBC Sports
    CBS Sports
    Sporting News
    Deseret News
    ESPN
and tens of other sports outlets. They all think this is screamingly funny. And BYU is one of the few schools that can get away with it. You can't buy this pub. And you normally can't get it for free either, without a scandal attached.

Plus, you just know that every subsequent video release will get the same play on all these stations, probably with the intro: "Another funny video from the basketball team at BYU..."
Everytime I watch it I laugh harder. This type of stuff lines up with my sense of humor so I was cry laughing at my desk. I have a friend (Utah Fan) that was making fun of it. Saying we are giving them (Utah Fans) easy ammo. I told him make fun all you want. I think its the greatest ad I have ever seen and told him how brilliant it was. I think that I caught him off gaurd.
( FYI I most likely wrote that incoherently and will be properly corrected forthwith. Thanks)

      That is pretty cool.
      Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

He looks like he could use some more practice tying that thing. That's honestly the worst bowtie knot I've ever seen.

        • I can't deny it...I love that video. It is fabulous. Seriously. And along with the video, I love how it also abruptly ends (leaving you wanting more) with the upcoming game schedule. And that retro BYU hoops spinning at the very end is terrific as well. I can't wait to see the next videos. Great work whoever did it and kudos to the players for being involved in it.

UteStar, you're a good man. Don't let dipshits like YOhio ever tell you otherwise.

Not surprisingly, they couldn't find the other half of the tooth so he ended up with a root canal, a post, and a crown to get it all fixed.

              • The video is great in that it's certainly not serious but it's genius in how it accomplishes that. Plus, I bet that thing cost maybe $1000 to put together and that is only for the rights to use the Chicago song. Contrast that with this horrible promo ad that is supposed to be serious but just turned out to be horrible.

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

The most disturbing thing about that entire video is the mis-matched handles on the doors at the Hunty.

I may just start a thread: "To replace or not to replace a door handle."

Don't even try and compete with some of my epic threads such as my Garage Door Opener thread which is still a classic.

                        • I'm certain there will be an active in-game thread during tonight's contest with Colorado College, but rather than start one, I'll just mention here that I will watch the game in HD via Roku. No more cleaning my glasses or blinking a lot trying to clear the fuzz that is BYUTV on satellite.

                            • Colorado College starting 5 white guys.

BYU lists starters as 4 guards and a forward. At least we have one AA starter in Winder.

                              • BYU up 7-0 one minute in.

                                On pace to win 280-0.
