          • actually I will amend that slighty. If you wrestle, run track, play tennis, or swim, then go ahead and serve. Also, if you play womens sports. (sorry, just being honest!)

I'll amend my opinion some as well. If their name is Ben Murdock, Terry Nashif, Kellen Fowler, Skye Povey, among a few others of their caliber, I would want them to serve missions and if they really like the area they serve in, they would be more than welcome to go ahead and start a life there.

                • I believe that they can bless the lives of many more people on the court or the field than they could knocking doors.

I don't know if I'm being sarcastic or not.

Is this your way of twisting the knife in TheBrockster's back knowing full well BYU cancelled its wrestling program?

twisting a knife into someone's back? You have me confused with one of Urb's buckeye recruits.

Now they can do a holiday video with Nate Austin singing about wanting two front teeth for Christmas.

                            • I went back and rewatched the "Inspiration" lip synch by the cougars and it's funnier every time. What a brilliant stroke of video editing, including:

                              1. The game titles announcing the Colorado game are the same shades of blue in Ty Haws' shirt.
                              2. The game titles have a faint overlay of Haws' profile gently in the background.
                              3. That ever-so tasteful glimpse of Ty's G's at 0:15. He's temple recommended ladies, and he's all yours!
                              4. The use of that heavily foggy camera lens, presenting the players in a dreamy mist.
                              5. Someone created a gif of the hip thrust that is hilarious. I don't know how to copy it here but it's at http://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2013/...piration-video in the comments section.

This is an inspired (haw!) marketing campaign. Basketball season hasn't even started and here are some of the media outlets talking about it:

                              SB Nation
                              NBC Sports
                              CBS Sports
                              Sporting News
                              Deseret News
                              ESPN
and tens of other sports outlets. They all think this is screamingly funny. And BYU is one of the few schools that can get away with it. You can't buy this pub. And you normally can't get it for free either, without a scandal attached.

Plus, you just know that every subsequent video release will get the same play on all these stations, probably with the intro: "Another funny video from the basketball team at BYU..."

It really is brilliant. It takes the dorkiness of BYU/Mormon Culture and is making it a huge win. Then when the dorky looking lip syncher goes off for 25 ppg it will all come together. We are pure, we are clean, we drink milk, we never want to leave the era of Reagan Conservativism and its accompanying power ballads and oh ya, our poster child for this backwards culture just dropped 30 points on your team.

Edit: I have a new replacement for my favorite BYU athlete profile pic at BYUCougars.com. It used to be Tui "Baby got Back" Crichton looking like Ziggy "The Actuarial Assasin" but now it is Worthington in a bow tie:
