My dad knows Worthington's grandma. Apparently he really liked the coach at Davidson and was leaning toward going their. Glad he felt the spirit and chose BYU. BYU has been recruiting him since he was in middle school. I think they know exactly what they're getting.

From memory, if you trust me and I have a weird memory about recruiting stuff, St Louis, the mighty Dayton Flyers, Utah State, San Francisco, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Davidson, Butler, most of the Ivy League schools wanted him.Originally posted by LiveCoug View PostAha.. thanks.. I wonder who his offers were. The schools at the top of the list aren't that exciting, but hey, I'll take him.

Emery, Mika, Worthington, Hartsock and Shaw all signed. Emery, Shaw and Hartsock are sign and sends. Mika and Worthington will be here with KC next season.
I believe that leaves BYU with 2 schollies. Obviously one for Jabari and not sure what else. Maybe a JUCO big?"Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic

Matt Carlino - JR
Anson Winder - JR
Raul Delgado - SR
Tyler Haws - JR
Kyle Collinsworth - SO
Nate Austin - JR
Josh Sharp - JR
Ian Harward - SO
Eric Mika - FR
Luke Worthington - FR
Agosto Ambrosino - SR
Clearly one is open for Jabari and whether or not he comes to BYU will have some influence on what BYU does with the other open scholie. Personally, I think if Jabari chooses the Y then Nick Emery should play at BYU next year. It will be a chance for Nick to potentially be part of something really special. Missions can wait and I think Nick is likely better than anything BYU could get from JC. I also would like that plan because then I think BYU could afford to RS KC and allow him to develop a jump shot. I would think if Jabari does not choose BYU, shutter the thought, JC help might look appealing but I am not so sure as this team already has 5 guys that will be juniors next year. I just don't think adding two more JC players is a smart way to manage scholarships. Perhaps if the JCs are willing to redshirt or if the JCs come in as sophmores. If BYU can get a JC big who can play with his back to basket and contribute immediately, ala Aurajo, then I think BYU needs to pick one up. But other than that I think BYU should see look to see if they can pick up a late bloomer out of HS or maybee a transfer. My hope is they go to Jabari and Nick Emery.Do Your Damnedest In An Ostentatious Manner All The Time!

I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.

Agreed. I wouldn't be opposed to seeing if they could pick up a Stephen Rogers. Anyone know of any LDS players playing elsewhere that will be back from a mission?Originally posted by Goatnapper'96 View PostSo the roster should be thus:

But yes, a true big would be nice. Otherwise I'd be okay with a late bloomer. Is there anyone on BYU's radar? But of course the first choice would be Jabari and Emery."Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic

I hope Mr. Parker was watching the game to see the quality of his future teammates (rather than watching the the BYU game which showed some of the weaknesses of some of his other future teammates).Originally posted by LiveCoug View PostLone Peak wins 84-46. That is a thrashing. The high school hoops report guy for the Sun Times says that LP would be the 2nd best team in Illinois (behind Simeon, I'm guessing)

BYU's big mistake in recruiting Jabari was failing to arrange for him to have a dad who played at BYU.Originally posted by Clark Addison View PostI hope Mr. Parker was watching the game to see the quality of his future teammates (rather than watching the the BYU game which showed some of the weaknesses of some of his other future teammates).“There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again.”

Aren't they all going on missions? They'd never play with Jabari.Originally posted by Clark Addison View PostI hope Mr. Parker was watching the game to see the quality of his future teammates (rather than watching the the BYU game which showed some of the weaknesses of some of his other future teammates).
