Right, after I called GU beating Syracuse, and you made an idiot of yourself mouthing off right during that game about Syracuse being vastly superior to GU.

Enjoy this moment, because BYU will be in the Final Four only in Mandel's article and your wet dreams. It's hard to fathom why Mandel has BYU in the Final Four. BYU laid an ostrich egg to end the season, on its home floor against New Mexico, and against a UNLV team that San Diego State handled in the title game (by the way, Kawhi Leonard appears to be the best player in the conference). BYU's quality win is at UTEP.

Florida has a very brawny and skilled inside game, which is BYU's achilles heel. BYU's women inside will be no match for Florida's strong and talented threesome. The team has really underachieved, and my guess is it's because of youth on the guard line, and a beastly schedule. But Billy Donovan is going to make the most of this opportunity for redemption. Florida is my sleeper team. This will be the time it sets itself up for high expectations next year.

I'm not scared to call my shots. I said Utah would win the SUG. It happened. I said Texas would finish no. 2 in the football poll, it happened. I said GU would kick Syracuse's butt in the Big East tournament. It happened.

The one thing I agree with Mandel about is the crazy lop-side regions. Apparenlty his ratoinale for BYU in the Final Four is the West's field and that BYU will play in SLC if it makes the Sweet 16.

I wonder what they have against Kansas, Ohio State and Georgetown. That Midwest Region compared to the rest is a joke.

Well, I did it intentionally as a test. I think taking offense on behalf of women in that cotext--we're talking about a pretty testosterone-drenched environment here, down low in men's DI basketball--is absurd to the point of being paternalistic. What if I'd have said "those Ivy Leaguers inside"? Should Harvard players have taken offense?
