Maybe not a traditional in-your-own-stadium home game, but just think how many BYU fans would show up to a NCAA game in Vegas? 5 hours is a day trip for a lot of people.Originally posted by beefytee View PostWhy is everyone saying this?
Manhattan is 5 hours away. Sure the Kansas State line in close and I'm sure most of the alumni don't live in the Little Apple, but won't Kansas have more of a following there? Who will the Kansas fans cheer for?
Maybe KSU is little bro enough that Kansas fans will cheer for them.
At any rate, it's not like the players can sleep in their own bed the night before.
I hardly consider it "essentially a home game"Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

A day trip to Vegas is a hell of a lot more exciting than a day trip to OKC. Then again Manhattan to OKC is a huge upgrade.Originally posted by falafel View PostMaybe not a traditional in-your-own-stadium home game, but just think how many BYU fans would show up to a NCAA game in Vegas? 5 hours is a day trip for a lot of people.*Banned*

I can see the Vegas comparison except that I doubt there are as many KSU alumni in OKC as BYU in LV. There are also plenty of member (non-alumni) fans in Vegas, too.Originally posted by falafel View PostMaybe not a traditional in-your-own-stadium home game, but just think how many BYU fans would show up to a NCAA game in Vegas? 5 hours is a day trip for a lot of people.
Were the tournament games played in Vegas in December essentially a home game for BYU? I don't know. They should have been with the LV Bowl going on as well.

Just look at the ESPN front page and there is a lot of talk about SU. Apparently they are worried about my health, though. Good. If Florida is like Arizona, we should win by 30. Great to see.Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostThis guy agrees with my Florida/09 Arizona comparison.

We are not deep at all without Haws.Originally posted by camleish View Postflorida is 1-8 against the top 25. let them be strong inside, we'll keep shooting 42% from three. also, we're WAY deeper than them, and we're going to capitalize efficiently off their high turnover ratio.
forgive for using numbers, su, i know it makes me moronic. i'd draw a picture with crayons on construction paper if i had a scanner.

You realize that if Florida were a pool they'd be the shallow end of the kiddie pool, right? They go 1 deep, 2 if Billy is feeling frisky.Originally posted by Jacob View PostWe are not deep at all without Haws."Either evolution or intelligent design can account for the athlete, but neither can account for the sports fan." - Robert Brault

Depth is overrated in the NCAA playoffs. A lot of good coaches like to find their core 6-7 man rotation and pretty much stick to it.Originally posted by Blueintheface View PostYou realize that if Florida were a pool they'd be the shallow end of the kiddie pool, right?
