Except for students get free tickets to any sports event so an all sport pass doesn't mean anything

This system is easier to implement when your basketball arena has bleacher seating.

If I were you, I'd be more concerned about when the Y was going to advance to the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament than how many butts are in the seats at the Huntsman Center.
Smack-downs like this make me want to avert my eyes.

Even so, we're talking about college students here...and in many-to-most cases ones that don't live on campus. You've got to make it as easy as possible for them to get to the games. I know it is silly, but I have to think that some are turned off by having to go to the box office for every game they want to attend to get a ticket. Again, it's crazy, but I think it makes a difference.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Eh? There was an article this fall about this. The last two seasons Utah has been over 100% capacity in terms of average attendance per football game. It was something like 102% capacity. The Utes were in the top 10 or 15 in terms of capacity percentage for football in the country.

the last 2 seasons? what about in 2004 when the Utes busted the BCS?

thank you for supporting my point.

I never thought I'd see the day when DDD plays the attendance card. From now on, you should be ZDaddy.

First of all, I could only comment on what the article said, and it didn't go back to 2004. I hope you didn't sprain your shoulder being so quick to pat yourself on the back.

Second, nobody expected the 2004 season to happen. Season ticket sales jumped tremendously in 2005 after the success in '04, and have continued to grow to the point where they sold out of season tickets this year. But I do remember the last half of the '04 season being extremely crowded from walk up sales.

Attendance smack is the surest sign that a Cougar fan has nothing else to work with.

We are creatures of habit. I had a couple of friends who had been season ticket holders for BB games forever. They started grumbling about the product, opponents, Majerus was bringing in. Then the unthinkable, they both stopped buying season tickets.

They started watching on TV and got into that habit. Even with the better teams coming, they don't go because they can't get back their great seats and they don't want to go and sit in lesser seats. Thus, they now watch on TV.

Now maybe that explanation explains only 2 of those who aren't going anymore and doesn't relate to anyone else.

Like Max Hall post game quote smack for Utes?

Attendance smack isn't all we got this year. We got recruiting smack. And we got scoreboard smack.

How many years has the Y out recruited the U?

Scoreboard is all that matters. You've got it for now.

Not really smack as much as it is fun to goad BYU fans with.

Attendance smack isn't all we got this year.
                              Bring it.

                              We got recruiting smack.
Seriously? You forgot about Sears Cup smack, US News & World Reports Accounting School smack, and Dryer's Ice Cream brain freeze smack.

                              And we got scoreboard smack.
Finally, one you do have, and yet I don't hear much about it. Could Cougar fans be nervous about next year and, as such, aren't crowing much about it?
