California's migrant population is one of the reasons for our problem. Multiple families living in the same home and heading out to work. Not a great recipe.

I'm not sure (and not an expert) that Cali is much different from Texas in teh number of migrants living like that.

I've honestly never thought about the migrant work/field work population that is in Texas. Usually it is driven by agriculture, and I'll come off like a dolt, but I am not sure of how much that goes on there.

I know here in the Central Valley where I live in California, I would venture that our numbers are higher than most areas because of the dense populace of field work. There is a bunch.

And I feel for these folks. They are in a lose/lose situation.

The LA unified school district provides free COVID testing for their students. As of this past weekend 33% of tests from low income schools is coming back positive. Tests from affluent schools are coming back 4% positive. That should tell you a ton about who is getting sick and why they are getting sick.
